I think we will have to push for VDV and Tapsoba really. If we get rid of a load of high earners off the wage bill like perisic, lloris and ndombele then that is more money to spend on fees. Even clubs like Brentford are buying centre backs for £25m, we can afford it.

It's not done and we are still in talks for Tapsoba but it's a big step in the right direction.

We know we need a CB in before we fly out.

I'm not sure this guy is experienced enough to come straight in and do a job in the PL. It is a big ask for him.

I know what you are saying though. With all the ones at the club bar Romero probably up for sale. Some need to go ASAP. Maybe being left behind of tour will help them focus the minds to fuck off!?!?

Seriously hope the club is looking at 2 decent CB’s. Most of our squad is passable or decent but the CB area is a shambles.

The fact that Tapsoba can play both LCB and RCB makes it so imperative.

This is my thinking. It's a shame because we're missing out on a great player.

All throughout this window it's been us looking at multiple CB's and even Romano now is still suggesting Tapsoba so I think we just need to have faith here in the powers that be.

If we don't successfully conclude a deal for Tapsoba it'll be disappointing granted as his skills set is precisely what we need but I won't believe it's not for the want of trying or that we haven't offered fair terms to Leverkusen as already have been cited.

I really don't think we're going to be signing Tapsoba, not trying to be negative, but I think our centre back signings will be Van de Ven and Tosin.
