Oh great :(.

Also worth noting that something like this could happen to Kane at any time.

Let's not panic. The "4 months" tweet is as much of a question from Gary Jacobs, he doesn't know anything at this stage in terms of severity.

Hopefully it's not as bad feared and even if he cant start the season we know Wimmer can come in and be solid with Toby so we're all good.

Emre Can recovered from ruptured ankle ligaments in about a month, didn't he?

I have a tenner on Bale for golden boot at 55-1 so I'm happy he's out of the match with Wales. Obviously I hope it's not serious, although I thought we looked more solid with Big Kev to be honest

It could be Kane and therefore a lot worse, Wimmer is fine thankfully.

It's also another reason why we signed Wanyama so Dier can drop back in any emergencies.

Way too early to tell how bad it is (1 month or 4 months). But, it sucks nonetheless.

We're just fortunate to have Wimmer. If this had been Toby I would be incredibly concerned.

4 months for a sprained ankle?
Even if it's a grade 3 sprain (complete tear of the ligament), it never takes more than 3 months to recover. And that's for an average guy. I presume that a football player would have better treatment that would reduce the time

If it was bad enough to cause this much concern he'd be on his way home for treatment, not schlepping all round France to watch his mates. No worries, especially with Wimmer in the wings.

I hope he's fine, if not though then Wimmer is quality and Carter-Vickers has an opportunity to show his worth too. Dier and Wanyama for emergencies. Not worried.
