Could he possibly make the pitch, or even just the bench before the new year?

Hopefully he returns at or at least near the level he was playing at before getting injured.
I would be happy if he returns before we lose players to the African/Asian Cups.... and I'm sure he will be raring to go... it seems to me like his injury is not something that would hold him back.

I would be very doubtful.
I don't think he would go from low impact treadmill work to twisting and turning and then ball work and games in the space of 11 days

Hopefully him and VDV get some minutes against Burnley then ready for United game.

I think we can survive Son going off to the Asia Cup with a front three of Deki, Richy and Brennan IF we have Maddison back.
