I didnt realise how good he is with his feet, in terms of close control.
Came on here to say the same thing. Always knew he was lethal given space and from set pieces from all the bastard goals he scored against us for Leicester, but never clocked quite how skillful he was in tight areas and hard to dispossess.

Unsurprisingly looks like a bloody fantastic addition.

The creative presence we have been desperate for since Eriksen left. A great assist for Kane’s second and some really well rounded play today. Excited to see him in competitive fixtures.

Absolutely criminal that Conte turned him down last summer. Even Conte ball could have worked in a real 3-5-2 with him playing behind Kane and Son.

what a numpty.

Weird it took the club nearly four seasons to make this signing. It was so obvious we needed a quality AM once Eriksen left and it’s not like we haven’t spent a lot of money on other areas of the pitch. We’ve bought multiple wing forwards, cms and right/wing backs, for example. Just further evidence of the misguided route the club went down after parting ways with Poch.

I thought he'd be good, but he looks an exceptional fit for what Ange wants. Always moving, always thinking and looking for angles.

The twinkle toes today was an unexpected bonus.

Only 50mins in but already seen enough to know he’s going to be an instant hit with the home crowd.

Looks so dangerous and creative in tight spaces :woot:
Yeah it’s a shame we didn’t take opportunities to sign him before now. But at least he is here now, we have missed a player like him for too long.

He's hit the ground running which is hugely encouraging for our season. If Kane stays they'll be some pairing. If Kane goes, he'll be putting stuff on a plate for any number of other players. At last we have a playmaker with vision, drive, composure and a bit of everything else.

Also came here to say that his close control surprised me, thought he would be much less elegant than Eriksen, but I was wrong. How did so many scouts from big clubs let him move to Leicester or even to us?

He’s going to be my favourite player pretty quickly if he keeps this up. I’ve always loved these flair creative players, they are what we have been about since I started watching in the early days of Hoddle and on…
