I agree, it clearly happens all the time. But then how do they define “tapping up”? Seems like a grey areaI'ts just the way it is.
You're not going to put all that effort into agreeing a fee and working out a deal to then find out you can't agree on personal terms.
Get the green light on those and then push forward with a serious bid.
