Sounds like it will depend on who wants him the most.
I’m not entirely convinced we will pay anymore then Newcastle will. I just don’t see Levy lumping 50 mil on the table for him. Part of me wonders if another bigger team like Chelsea or Utd will come in for him last minute, not that they need him but still.

I am not convinced either. Also doesn't feel like we're in a position to offer a large sum, with Kulusevski just signing permanently, CB's very much the desire and a multitude of players to get off the books. I now wouldn't be surprised if this is one we're keeping tabs on and may make a move on if other things materialise, but I'm not sure I can see us whacking £45m+ for him, just doesn't feel like he's a top and essential target for us in which he would have to be for us to pay that. Would love to be wrong, personally.

If given the choice, Maddison or Eze?
Depends on price we’d pay for either and how Ange wants us to play but Maddison is about as like for like an Eriksen replacement as we could get and would make us much more exciting to watch again and so good on set pieces, him and Porro would be a lovely combination on set pieces, Maddison edges it for me.

Eze great player though.

Feels like a deadline day special. If Leicester hold firm on price they’ll have to sell late in the window and levy will swoop.
Have to hope newcastlr move on to other targets

No way this drags on until deadline day. I reckon one way or another this gets sorted soon.

Makes sense to buy both as Norwich have a sale percentage. Helps Leicester out if we overpay for Barnes and under pay for Maddison.

If only we had a very recent example of whether manipulating transfer fees was a good idea or not. We should ask Fabio 😂

If we have done our research and decided Madison is the player we want and the perfect fit, then you pay 10 mil extra and go for him.
But we know how Levy works, if we are in a "biding war" we always go for second best to save 10 mil,
which in the end always ends up beeing the most expensive option as they SUCK!

Then that's just us buying a midfielder because he's a midfielder. They are a completely different type of player.
Of course.

But that’s how we seem to operate unfortunately, like when we got Sissoko instead of Mane.
I’ve seen our alternatives we’re supposedly looking at are Eze and Gibbs-White, they’d both be £50+ million aswell.
Gallagher will be cheapest therefore the one I predict we’ll end up with, hope I’m wrong.
