Listening to Lyall Thomas on Last Word on Spurs and he mentioned Vicario was Spurs top choice for GK despite reports that Raya was top choice and Spurs think he can become a top keeper. Very interesting as some felt he was the bargain choice

It's also Lyall Thomas who's terrible.

I notice Pickford and Raya are still shortish odds to join Spurs. Maybe we still want Raya and will let Forster go if we get him.

I gotta be honest, I’m not convinced. Looks like he puts everything back into the danger areas
Halland scores lots of tap ins and easy goals

because he is world class at taking up advantageous positions.

Our new keeper here may be putting balls into danger areas because he is saving shots others wouldn’t.

So we not only have we nicked Vicario from Inter's grubby mitts, but we may also now be selling them Lloris?

Bit of a dream turn of events if so (well...providing Vicario isn't shit).

I mean purely based off the video no but I hope my worries aren’t valid either way

Know it’s only our first friendly, but I’m sorry for the lad that he had three put past him today. Chin up, fella. We’re rooting for you.

Shall we split the difference.....2.5?!

Think some people even in the match thread didn't realise he went off at half time and put line ups with him still in goals.

First game for the club with a back line that I don't think anyone here would start with also a team playing a new style and with new plays still adjusting also. I would expect him to get better and the low down stop he did was decent towards the end of the first half.

Hard to judge solely on 45 mins of football for a new team, but his performance didn't fill me with confidence. First goal went through him, passed it out of play for a corner (albeit under pressure) from which we conceded the second. He's very slight and isn't as imposing as you'd like a keeper at the top level to be.

Obviously there's plenty of time to improve, show his best and make me eat my words, but worrying signs.

Neither Hugo, nor infact David De Gea are any bigger!! Plus it was 45 mins behind what was a totally new defence to him, against a well organised West Ham.

Think it's harsh to say the first one went through him. Ings had a powerful free header in the 6 yard box and keepers very rarely save those unless the shot is straight at their body (and this one wasn't). No chance with the second either.

Also made one very decent stop low to his left from Bowen.

Giving away the corner wasn't great but overall feel like there's very little to judge him on from that 45 and the nature of West Ham's goals. Need to see a lot more I reckon.
