Should've been called up for Argentina really looking at some they've taken in his place
Im so glad he hasn’t, last thing we need is him picking up an injury or getting too fatigued. It does seem Poch has starts to mange his injuries recently. I’m sure if he continues to perform as he has been he will get his shot.Should've been called up for Argentina really looking at some they've taken in his place
Maybe he was, and we are sending Foyth in his place.Should've been called up for Argentina really looking at some they've taken in his place
So, why do you think Poch isn't starting Lamela more? Do you think he's just managing his fitness or maybe he doesn't want Lamela to show he probably should be starting ahead of either Eriksen and Dele, because he doesn't want to upset his golden boys before they sing their contract extensions?
I don't think there's anything sinister behind this. I guess Pochetino thought we should be beating the likes of Huddersfield and Cardiff without having to risk too much a player who has proven these past few seasons to be a bit injury prone. However, looking ahead to our next three fixtures, Lamela clearly has to start all three of them if we want to give ourselves the best chance to both stay alive at the CL and to keep pace with the top 6 (counting Bournemouth here, who are just two points behind us and Arsenal).
If Lamela doesn't start in at least two of those three games (West Ham, PSV and City), I may start feeling a bit worried about Pochetino's judgement.
I dont think you can manage a player like that. Sure you wait until he is fit and nurse them back to full fitness but he currently is not injured and is match fit. He could pull up in training tomorrow and be out for 6 months. In fact he's more likely to pull up playing 20min spells here and there.I just don't see this at all. Poch has always loved Lamela. Much more than many SC "experts".
Lamela is being managed to ensure he's there for the most important games - and, more importantly, for AS MANY GAMES as possible.
It's all about fitness longterm with Lamela. I thought that would be obvious.

Dont do this to meThere’s a pic on Twitter if Lamela being carried off the pitch during training, by Toby and Davies I think...he’s not injured again is he?

Ah. It was from the training video at the beginning so it looks like he was being carried out to training and he was training in the video.Dont do this to me

Lol. I may be wrong, but I think there is a bias there. Please call it as it is without tinted specs. For the record, I like Coco, and believe he has done enough to activate his 2 years extension. Is he expendable compared to Alli? Behave please my friend.
