Has cut out alot of the needless stepovers and is now starting to look the part.
Dele needs to pull his finger out. Good eye for a pass has Lamela. I think he is mentally tougher now. You can see him wanting the ball all the time.
Never understood the love for Lamela... until this season. It looks like form and fitness are finally coinciding, and with Kane out for a while the timing couldn't be any better.
He's playing no better than he did in the previous 2 seasons.Never understood the love for Lamela... until this season. It looks like form and fitness are finally coinciding, and with Kane out for a while the timing couldn't be any better.
Ts so strange watching video's of him at Roma he looks a completely different player. I still rate him but he has had to adapt to England. He did play centrally in a handful of games for Roma, he also started out on the left for Roma.
He’s finding the form that had all is excited before his injury. In preseason he was on fire and he looks to be hitting that stride again. Since Poch he has been an incredible asset and if you couldn’t see that I am amazed. He has been one of hardest workers and most creative players for years. I’m just hoping he can stay healthy and continue to mature in the PL.
Read it again. You're telling pork pies... Most creative player for years.
See thats what others have been saying. Where poster in this thread in particular become revisionist and over the top on Lamela's performance. Sorry to single you out as thats not the intent. Hard working perhaps but he has not been our most creative player.

from when are you measuring? Because pre injury, for much of 2015/16 he was literally the first name on the team sheetNever understood the love for Lamela... until this season. It looks like form and fitness are finally coinciding, and with Kane out for a while the timing couldn't be any better.

Was he? Ahead of Kane, Toby, Hugo etc...?
Well certainly at least equal. Undroppable if you like. Was he? Ahead of Kane, Toby, Hugo etc...?
Yeah I don't understand why people think this is the best he's when for Spurs, 2015/16 in particular the latter stage of the season he was really good.
