Oh please! You have been repeating for a while now how Lamela is about to find himself being fifth option behind Lucas... some nerve you have to call other posters delusional.
Explain why that is ridiculous to suggest
It's not even a slight on Lamela, just testament to that fact we have 3 World class attacking mids in front of him and then one, moura, who has got 1 goal and 3 assists for us in 1 month despite having barely played football for a year. And it's my view that once he gets fully up to speed he'll move ahead of Lamela.
That view is in no way comparable to 20 odd people believing Lamela is comparable to Modric
Just love the options we have now with all our forwards. Different tools to unlock different defences. It's a squad game.
So, honest question, you've said you're not a fan, fair enough, so what role do you think he has?Had to check which thread i was in... Unusual to see a balanced view. Yes it is about the squad and whilst im not a fan of Lamela i appreciate that he has a role like all our attacking players.
We can become a little sterile when all Poch has is Kane, Dele,Eriksen and Son. Moura and Lamela in that equation just makes us less predictable.
In your view ( opinion ) here's the thing everybody's got an opinion and not everybody agrees with yours.Explain why that is ridiculous to suggest

When Lamela is fit and up to speed Poch picks him in the starting eleven most of the time.

Yes he did.I mean that's just false.
You're saying if son, eriksen and Alli are all fit and on form Lamela gets in in front of one of them most of the time?
Yes he did.
In 2015 - 2016 season (the last full season for all 4 AM were available )
Eriksen 35 appearances 2 subs
Lamela 34 appearances 6 subs
Alli 33 appearances 5 subs
Son 28 appearances 15 subs
These stats come from premier league.com
Things are different now but only because Lamela is returning from a 13 month lay off injured.
Before that he started in the first eleven most of the time.
Nice to see him in the position where he apparently caused havoc in Serie A.
If I were Dele, I’d be a tad worried.
Soldado was sold Lamela is still here that being the difference.Sorry but that's just ridiculous.
At one point in time Soldado started in front of Kane, should we get Soldado back and put him in front of Kane based on that?
Also your stats miss out the fact both dele and son were summer signings and therefore didn't make starts until mid September iirc
Eriksen on Lamela's goal.
It was with his right foot as well! He normally doesn’t use his right foot for anything but standing on.
Even our own players know this... Yet ive seen posters vilified for alluding to this.

He didn't play CAM at Roma, only RW. Totti was the CAM
He played CAM at River
