No because Dele is far better for us than LamelaKaneWould this be our best team when Lamela is fit?
Eriksen Lamela
Davies Winks Wanyana Trippier
Verts Sanchez Toby
Lloris
No because Dele is far better for us than Lamela
Make it very easily because Dele has contributed far more to our team than Lamela has in less time. They're completely different players, I don't know how you can make a statement like that.
It was hard to leave Dele out and to accommodate him Eriksen and Lamela we would have to revert to a 4321 formation, which IMO is not the best system for the players we have.
Lamela I feel is far more suited to our current 343 system than Dele. Maybe thats why Dele has been poor since we switched from 4321 of last season.

This, I'm a massive Lamela fan and would love to see him back in the first team, but you cannot deny Dele's contribution in goals and assists. I think Lamela was great for us at times and I sincerely hope he gets back in the first team and has an impact, but despite his poor form of late, Dele has contributed far more to the team than Lamela ever has.
That being said, a fit Lamela, could be the massive kick up the arse that Dele needs at the moment. and that in itself could be crucial to the remainder of our season
We played 343 last season in the majority of matches and Dele thrived playing off Kane
Lamela is my favorite spur outside Winks. I think we miss his passion, grit and cleverness, but he doesn't provide the end product in the form of goals that Dele does. But competition is key and I really want Lamela back, which will only bring out the best from his direct competition.

Scoring more goals is exactly contributing moreScoring more goals is not exactly the same as contributing more, and I'm pretty sure you know that. So I would be interested in understanding how is it that you're quantifying the rate of contribution each of them has had for Spurs.
Anyway, Eriksen and Dele's inconsistency so far this season should make it fairly easy for Lamela to regain the regular place at the starting 11 he used to have, that is, if he's able to get through whatever the hell is going on (either with his body or his mental state).
Scoring more goals is exactly contributing more
I like Lamela but he’s contributed very little in his years here
What are goal if they’re not contributions add into the mix just as many assists and only played a few games less in over a couple years less all add into the contributed more list.No is not, but at least your belief in that statement explains very well why you would think Lamela hasn't contributed that much to Spurs.

I see the more Lamela been injured the better he was for us
You obviously watch a different Lamela to me. If seen very inconsistent player who had 1 good season only for us.Look, they play similar positions, so I totally understand why you would think Dele scoring more automatically means that he would be more valuable for Spurs than Lamela. But it also means you're clearly not factoring in a lot of important things Lamela does for Spurs that Dele usually doesn't, like breaking apart our rival's attacks, or starting goal scoring opportunities a bit further down the pitch due to his incessant pressing and lovely, clever through balls. If you also factor in all those times Dele wastes possession, forcing players such as Lamela to track back and recover it, then the goal scoring statistic clearly stops being the sole metric to determine which player contributes more to Spurs.
Also, Lamela has been out for a whole year and came to us with a back injury, that probably has something to do with Dele matching Lamela in matches played in a less amount of time, don't you think?

So you saying Lamela is unreliable then? If so surely that would also make Dele better for the team.
Like I say the more he’s been out injured the better he come.
No way is davies a better player currently than rose.rose might be a mouthy git but hes a heck of a playerKaneWould this be our best team when Lamela is fit?
