As a team we need all different types of players that will keep the opposition guessing and are harder to plan against. I think he will also prove to be very useful against bus parking teams.

Excellent game from him. (y)

It’s so nice to have an intelligent player with end product in that position.

Kulu just showed yesterday why some of us said Moura needs to be upgraded. No way Moura does that assist to Kane at the end, and to be honest I doubt he score the first either. Moura is too erratic, head down, loses the ball, rarely scores and assists.

Kulu 100% needs to start every week now.

Was surprised to see him start after some had written him off with 2 poor sub appearances in 2 awful team performances, luckily Conte didn't see those posts phew!
It's mad isn't it?! 2 very short appearances for a team that was playing poorly and he was written off by some on here. I genuinely can't get my head around that. How do you go about football or even outside of football with that level of pessimism & lack of reason.

Who knows if last night will be his consistent level or not but hopefully even the few posters who thought he wouldn't make a Sunday league team down the marshes will give him a break for a few weeks.

It's the FB/Twitter generation, nobody can just have an off day or look good they have to be either the worst player ever and not play again or the next best thing...
I honestly couldn't believe some of the posts after the 2 poor home games, but unfortunately it's a sign of the times.

He wasn't even bad against Brighton, was very unlucky not to get the assist. He isn't fast but Kane and Berbatov are slower than Defoe or Bent and who cares, pace is crucial only for WBs and even then there are some great ones like Srna and Baines who weren't rapid. We lack creativity and he brings it, and he will get only better.

Obviously early days. But one key aspect I am hopeful that Kulu may help us with is to make the ball stick higher up the pitch (through his combination of footballing IQ, technical ability, physical frame and composure on the ball). Something which (in the past) pretty much only Kane has been capable of doing. If we can add a quality pacy RWB in the summer, things could look very exciting IMO.

As Son approaches the goalie, Kulusevski slows his run. Even takes a couple of steps to show he's ready for the pass. Cancelo keeps going and it creates more space for Kulusevski to receive the ball and pick his spot. Very smart play. It also leads to Cancelo having to change direction and lose balance.

I think in recent times we have lacked some actual good footballers.

From what i have watched you can see that Kulu and Bentancur both are just plain and simply good footballers. They can actually keep the ball when pressed and use their body, first touch and ability to keep the ball away from opposing players.

We still need a lot more but I think things are looking more positive. I even felt this way after the Southampton and Wolves games.

Good to see Winks out with Hojberg alongside betancur. For me this is the only pairing we should be considering for a while unless we move to 3 in the middle.

Feck me, first Bentancur, now Kulu. It's almost as if the general consensus is pointing towards the notion we might've actually signed a couple of decent types.

Not a "told you so" kinda person, long way to go yet, but I'm not gonna lie, it does my feckin swede seeing posts that call player x,y or z not good enough before they've even kicked a ball in anger wearing a Spurs shirt. All based on nothing more than the probability that said player doesn't tally up with whom they believe we should be signing.

No biggie, just irks me.

Sorry.

An odd way of looking at it. Moura does stuff what Kulu can’t, and vice Versa. It’s great we actually have options.

Agree that Kulu ability is higher than Moura’s but Moura has been one of our most consistent performers over the last year and he terrifies defences with his pace, ball carrying ability and close touch control.

Didn't watch the game so can't comment on his performance, but definitely sounds like he had a good game.

I did find this clip of the third goal though. He didn't celebrate the goal at all until, what appears to be, Conte telling him to, which I thought was odd.

One goal and one assist. Great game yesterday. So happy to see the players who are brought in actually play. Former managers often kept new signings on the bench for a long time....i feel.

Probably because he was flagged offside earlier in the game which resulted in a goal being disallowed. Just extra cautious waiting for the green light to celebrate.

Yeah could be that, which I can understand but I'd still find it hard not to celebrate when everyone else is.

Agree it’s great to have options. I’ve been pretty clear that I don’t rate Moura as good enough as a starter.

One of our big problems and has been for years is the constant recycling of possession by our forward players and Moura is one of the main culprits.

Son is sometimes too but the difference with Son is he actually can be intelligent with the ball and he works well with Kane and he actually scores lots of goals.

If Moura is so consistent, why is his end product so poor? For me he’s consistently underwhelming / ineffective. Glad we may finally be moving to a stage at Spurs where Moura is an impact sub and that’s it.

Assuming he had a feeling he might be called offside again? I genuinely didn't celebrate until they showed the replay because of the earlier goal that was disallowed.

Re the lack of goal celebration i reckon it's partly the var thing but also from the snippets i've seen he's a quieter character....he barely celebrated his own goal to start considering it was the 4th min of your first game, and a massive game at that.
