Guardiola offers Walker a new improved deal at similar age and ability as Rose and we're whoring him to all and sundry. Rose is undoubtedly one of the top 5 left fuĺlbacks in PL, why are we not locking him down to a new deal. I find the whole situation bizarre.

Rose gets hurt every year and Walker is a machine. I agree that it’s annoying but that’s why the club is doing it I imagine.

The Rose saga is so odd. Trippier I understood but Rose just seems bizarre to me. The only thing I can see that may have happened is they discussed with him, or it became apparent to him, that we were making Sessegnon a priority for the summer and he’d have to share time.

He then said that in that case if he isn’t viewed as the long term future he’d be interested at looking at other options while he is still in his prime and can get a big move. His quotes at the end of the season that Spurs look to move on when you get to a certain age maybe suggests that he was aware of younger long term options.

Maybe he has just realized that there aren’t a bunch of better options out there and even if we signed Sessegnon, Rose would be the primary LB and still play regularly. We’ll bring him back into the fold, still sign Sessegnon who can learn from Rose, cover Rose or play in a higher role. Davies shifts to LCB cover and all of us are way happier with our defensive cover.

Why is that? We have another 10 days.

Think with rose back in the fold no move is forthcoming for him, don't think we'll force through any deal with Fulham with rose still in the squad especially if they're holding firm for a higher price.
Think we'll just leave it

Hmm that would be odd to me. He’s been on our radar such a long time and even if Rose stays, which I hope he does, Sess would have a role to play. Rose would be ideal for him to be understudy to and not much benefit to Sessegnon playing at championship level again.

I think the player will want the move and I don’t think Fulham will try to stand in his way.

Trippier leaving makes sense but to sell Danny just feels ludicrous to me, unless we are buying a quality replacement. Keep him and I'm happy with the defence, just the attacking side to add to and we are good

It's a two way street, and I'm not sure he wants to stay!

Lamela gets just as many injuries too but he got a new deal. I would have liked to see him retire with us. It's truly a strange situation. Rose has also looked unhappy at the club for some time though. When he plays though.. He gives his all.

True, maybe because Rose is so reliant on athleticism?

Watching him in the CL sem final & Final he really put in a shift. He still has it in him. Perhaps he should be managed in the way we did Ledley King/Dembele etc. Speaking of Dembele, Danny Rose could be useful in China surprised at him not being linked there.

If Rose does stay I really hope he becomes our first choice LB again. Nothing against Davies I like him but I’d say he’s solid. Whereas Rose is not only brilliant defensively but he’s so dynamic going forwards. Fair enough his delivery isn’t the best but his runs cause problems and give defenders something to think about

What I like about Rose is the way he runs up the wing and then goes 110% into a 50/50 ball, flying and flipping through the air like a Jackie Chan movie stunt man.

Then, (and most of the time), having won the free kick he just gets up looking a bit peeved.

Is it possible given Danny's numerous flurries into the Uk press about mental health that he has gone to the club and asked them to let him leave if he can find the right deal. Maybe the club have been considerate to this end, hence leaving him out of a Shanghai trip. Maybe there is no break down in relationship, and maybe all parties are happy for him to stay.

I think he has been a half a step too slow now despite his weight loss after his injury.
I always liked his tackling and toughness.
