Good job he scored…made up for his shocking defending
His defending was fine, it was his passing getting him into trouble. I think 3 times he gave it away in dangerous areas - the one was a nailed on goal of it wasn't for Emerson flying in.

4 goals in a season is fantastic though 👏

Yeah that thing when our central defender acted like a centre forward in the box to score the winning goal in the 80th minute just about made up for a couple of wayward passes in the game 🥱

Torn between being delighted with the goal and wondering what he was doing there.
I guess we needed an aerial threat with Richarlison out and now we've got our heads around meandering full-backs, Ange has moved on to goal-hanging centre-backs.

Been telling people he has been better in that regard but he has been stereotyped now and people just go on it's Romero he'll do something stupid. When in reality he has had a couple mad moments earlier on in the season but on the whole has been much calmer.

The media (Neville etc) haven't helped his image either.

He does tend to go up and take a while to get back. This time it worked out but other times it makes me nervous.

He’s been much calmer, sometimes too calm with his passing. Doesn’t even look like getting a yellow.

*checks schedule, Villa away next, with Matty Cash: Red card incoming*

I might actually put some money on him getting a red vs Villa. It could also then be the making of Dragusin.

I actually thought he wasn't aggressive enough in the build up for the free kick.

I never thought I'd say that about romero.

Haha you know it's just going to happen.

If he does, hope its right near the last few minutes of the game when we are already a few goals up.

Cash deserves every bit of it.

Love his defensive ability, aggression and his passion!

The only bit he could work on is his distribution - a hyper-critical observation - but he/Micky will often have the ball and the likes of Timo, Son or Brennan will make brilliant runs into the space behind the defence and they will hesitate and work it across the back.

Perhaps he's been told to do that by Ange, but the forward players do make brilliant runs so seems we are looking to work it there.

I'm thinking of the David Luiz type long balls over the top, which perhaps doesn't fit with our tactics.

Those Slide graphics don’t make sense. Why are they all the way left or in the middle etc. just random graphics to make it look snazzy
