He is good at moving forward and making those long/direct passes but that is not his best attribute. His best attribute is defending. The lowly Atalanta played against 100% stronger teams than them in CL matches. Cuti was the 8th best players in the whole CL last year rating wise against all those giants.

I am looking forward to seeing him starting against strong EPL teams where he will display his best attribute: defending.

Even against poor opposition it was clear to see that he reads danger and acts upon it in a completely different way to any other defender we currently have at Spurs.

The speed at which he reacted and stepped in at times was lightyears quicker than Sanchez or Dier ever would, and I honestly can't recall a single other CB I've seen at Spurs (maybe Ledley?) as naturally strong at that particular skill.

It will be interesting to see how he does against stronger Premier League opposition and there's no doubt he'll get caught out plenty of times this season, but in terms of raw ability he's very very promising indeed.

Attacking Centre Back! Absolute monster yesterday from the first minute when he put Kane through to the last when he nicked the ball of their attacker's foot when he was about to shoot.

Enjoyed his performance. Very eager to push out and put fires out further up the defensive 3rd. Obviously will be tougher in the EPL against better quality, quick forwards who can turn defenders but like the fact he seems to be quite mobile and on his toes.

We go from lopsided full back to the trapezoid defense:

--Reguilon---------------Romero-------------------
----------------Dier------------------Tanganga-----

The newest shit in our tactic books.

With his loving of being (aggressively) in the thick of things, along with his desire to have the odd foray forward & his obviously very capable passing range, how long until someone suggests him being a potential DM.

Once he settles in he will be great - could definitely be our VDV. I am intrigued though how he performs against the likes of Lukaku and performs against the likes of Man Shitty, Liverscum and Manure... theyre the true tests i think

Anyone still baffled why we sold our best cb and replaced him with this guy?? I mean as how the fuck are the other shit show still here??
Why can’t we ever just get rid of the rot and buy gems.

Toby wanted to leave and has been on his way down last few seasons.

You can also only sell players if other clubs want them.

Sanchez was also on his way but has impressed so being given another chance and at 24 still has many years of football ahead of him.

And Romero should be an awesome centre back for us so not sure why your post seems to negative towards him?

He could actually play as DM with his desire to have the odd foray forward & his obviously very capable passing range
Yeah - at Atalanta he was played in the middle of the three, and given he was always stepping up and challenging/intercepting, his skillset (and stats) were actually very similar to those of a top CDM.

Think he could definitely do a job there, although given our weaknesses at CB I doubt he'll be playing there anytime soon.

I'm sure Thinktank is way ahead of you

Not really a criticism but he does seem to have a very laid back approach when not on the ball/defending. Like he was always just walking around rather than jogging, looking a little disinterested.

Again, not a criticism as his performance was great, just something I noticed.

Can see City making a 15m bid upfront and 40m in installments 2-3 years from now for him, incredible talent.

The guy's a panther. That wasn't walking, bud, that was prowling.

Any reason why you’re bringing posts up 2 weeks ago? And bit at a post about our new player Gill? Who I might add didn’t look anything like an old traditional left winger.

Looks like a player. Reads the game well, can play with the ball, aggressive, will pick up a few yellow cards but looks a great signing.
