Please just get it done. We need a statement CB signing, and then we can really look forward to the season with optimism.

But a back up GK and Tomiyasu is not enough.

We need to sign a proper CB and not just end up with Andersen on deadline day which is what I fear always happens with Spurs.

We'd have to then take the money from Kane and sign a top striker from somewhere. Having Ings would lessen the blow somewhat as he's establshed in the league but he's also injury prone and in his late 20's. We'd need to go out and sign someone like Vlahovic to settle the fanbase back down and even then, it might need to be someone more established.

We paid the money for NDombele, Sanchez, Lo Celso, Soldado, Sissoko, Sessegnon (etc etc), and the problem then becomes that we can't afford to sell them for their actual value, due to over-paying in the first instance.
