I will be pissed if he goes to Arsenal. I don’t necessarily want him back but that is based on form the last 18 months. I’m over him mailing it in with us. He was incredible here. If we can get him back & he actually wants to come back, i’d take a flyer(if it was 10m or less given the finances or lack thereof thanks to the economic situation due to Covid).

It would have to be in the Summer though. Given the financial situation, i’d be surprised if we bring in anyone in January. If we do, please can it be a top quality CB?

I thought a large part of leaving spurs was his family wanting to go to spain/italy. I really can't imagine him wanting to come back and play for arsenal.

I remember Savage leaving one club to be closer to his family but actually moved further away.

I don't trust the reasons footballers give for leaving sometimes. If Eriksen isn't happy at Inter chances are he'll take the best option available to him.

I would personally take him back on loan as he would give us a great option in the second half of the season to vary our tactics. I also expect more injuries will come later in the season and Europa league games will be tougher so will need the quality cover. Knows the club so would be up to speed straight away.

Based on what? His sparkling form this year? His amazing performances last year? The way he played his heart out his last few years with us? Nah, you're alright.

There's a reasonable chance that he'd want to come back and reignite his career if he was first choice, but I don't see that being possible.

Generally speaking, these are our midfield options:

DCM: PEH, Winks (although not ideal)

CM (number 8): Lo Celso, Sissoko, Gedson

ACM (or creative): NDombele, Alli, Lamela

If Eriksen came back he'd most likely be back up in the ACM role and he might even be 3rd choice back up. Has he got the drive and determination to break his way into an in-form side?

It would be great if he could change his game and become a Pirlo style DCM, as we actually need one of those. But it's highly unlikely.

All in all, Eriksen will want to be first choice wherever he goes, so I don't see him returning to Spurs anytime soon.

An interesting discussion for a covid lockdown Sunday morning. I would go with the "its not going to happen" gang. But remember that Mourinho and Eriksen had a very respectful, honest and professional relationship in the few months they were together. So something to build on there. There is also the Danish connection with PEH.
If we are still in the running for the title, then surely he would need no greater motivation to recapture his past form. Lets see what happens come Jan. And talking of Jan.......;)

He would have to want to come back and be motivated but I remember him coming on against Villa first game of last season and changed the game.. Also came on for Dier when we were 0-2 down against Olympiakos has the talent but has to want to do it... I still think we have not great creative passing with the exception of Kane. The Europa League games will be much harder come February so you will not be able to carry any players in any game.

I think there are Inter fans who don't think he's done enough but also a lot who would rather see him outlast Conte and have a decent run with a different manager in charge.

Will be interesting to see where goes, could definitely see PSG as an alternative to Dele. Hopefully the Arsenal stuff doesn't ramp up again but still couldn't see him wanting to go there because of history and I'm sure he wouldn't fancy going from CL to relegation battle.
