Lucas Moura is to leave the Club at the end of the season following the conclusion of his contract.

In the the 2018/19 Champions League, Lucas etched his name into Club history during the semi-final with a second-half hat-trick away to Ajax – including a stoppage-time winner – which sent us into the Final.

A great servant to the club. Had limitations, but I think also slightly underrated by fans. Exceptional attitude - like Lamella, a shining example of dedication to a club.

And most importantly, I realize more and more as I get older, life becomes as rich as the collection of memories you amass. Lucas gave me one of the most vivid and happiest memories of my life. Years later my spine still tingles thinking of it. I don’t just remember where I was, I remember vividly the couple of hours from when he slotted that first goal in onwards. Words can’t thanks him enough for that memory which will stay with me forvever.

What a wonderful way for Moura to leave the club with a worldly goal. Clearly a fantastic person I wish him all the best

Lucas Moura signed for his boyhood club São Paulo recently and has just come out for the 2nd half against Atletico MG, trailing 0-1. Atletico MG have a 37 year old Hulk upfront who scored a 'thunderbasterd' free kick in the 1st half.

I was thinking today how Lucas could have been a great weapon for Ange. Worked hard, and didn't shit the bed in front of goal
