I believed it the first couple of times, not so much anymore.
Procrastination FC.
It makes zero sense in football.

Firstly, the game moves so fast. A million things can happen. Player chooses to stay, bigger club become interested, player gets injured, players form drops, etc etc.

Secondly, if you have identified a top target its because you are weakened in one area of the pitch. So the faster you bolster it, the quicker you get results.

Yeah this attitude is starting to get fucking irritating. Another thing that’s looking more and more like something to add to the pile of bullshit that our board feed us with every window

It’s about time the fans realised this & organised more protests

They said the same thing last January and didn’t buy one in the summer. Why do people think it will be different in 2023?

Yep always the same.

"Next window spurs will target 2x CB, CM, GK and AM"

Spurs then sign a CB, AM and GK. The other 2 positions are not filled.

Once that window shuts its "Spurs will target a CM and CB in January"

January comes and we need a new CF, Winger as well as CM and CB.

Forever falling short

Ive always had a feeling that if Poch comes back/Conte leaves we will go for Pau Torres in the summer. Left footed, can play in a back 4 or 3, 12 months left on his deal and Paratici really likes him.

not sure where to put this but that Viktor Kristiansen who Leicester signed for £17m and dominated Kulusevski all game yesterday looks an incredible prospect.

20 years old but from the Danish league so i doubt we shop there these days

Seems this has taken a familiar path. Player on a short contract but the club want proper money for him. We decide to wait for a bargain, but then it goes either;

1) The player signs a new contract
2) The player becomes a free agent and demands too much in wages and signing on fee
3) Somebody else beats us to the punch somewhere along the way.

It seems that 12 months left on the contract is the most likely time to succeed but we always seem to think there's a better deal to be had further down the line.
