Please just go and get him. Hes exactly what we need. If we lined up next season with a front 3 of Son, Richie, Neto or Neto, Son, Kulu it would be very dangerous for opposition.

When looking at all the possible clubs round Europe who might potentially be interested AND have the money I can only really think of us, Arsenal and Liverpool going for him. PSG will be looking for a LW if/when Mbappe goes and I think it's very likely they go for Leao as they have been tracking him for ages and beyond that Bayern and RM don't need him. Liverpool will be changing manager and have been linked heavily to Bakayoko for a while now but obviously if Salah leaves it will be for a large sum. The single biggest issue I see is Mendes but in regards to teams realistically having the funds and being a logical destination I see us as right near the top of the pack.

As a player he is absolutely perfect for us. I don't think we need to even discuss the merits of him because at 23 with his ability he has the world at his feet. The only other player that would potentially be available that I think would have as big an impact on our front line is Kvaratskhelia. Williams also looks fantastic and he's one of my top targets but I think he would need some time to adapt and develop in comparison to the other two. Obviously I get there is maybe an injury question about Neto but if you look at the nature of his injuries they don't seem to be connected.

Really I guess this comes down to how aggressive we can be with any potential deal and if Ange can sell him on the project to a point that no other team interests him. It will be a very hard one to get done but I actually feel there is a chance especially if we are already working on it now.

He would be a ceiling raiser for us. The kind of player we simply don't have.

Him playing in Ange's system with the likes of Maddison, Porro etc creating for him? Isolating him wide against fullbacks? My Lord.

The club need to do everything they can to get at least 1 player of his quality for the attack this summer, if not 2.

4th fastest player in the league this season as well so ticks the speed box and thats after both his long term injuries. Is a natural on ether side of the pitch and he's physical which is a big plus. The big thing for me also is look how awful that Wolves attack is without him. He elevates those around him. And he is still very young.

He's really not a hard sell even if he would probably end up being our record signing if we did go for him.

If we are going to spend big on anyone this summer then going for Neto is as good a transfer as we can make for all the points outlined above.

Will not be easy for a multitude of reasons and has many admirers, none more so than Arsenal for their longstanding interest and Liverpool who might well be looking at cleaning house post Klopp with Salah entering his last year in his contract plus the unenviable task of negotiating with a Mendes/Gestifute client.

The most encouraging element is that the club are prioritising a wide forward with this remit.

Thought that I'd made one so just dug up an old post of me simping for Neto from 2021, and he's only got less injured and better since. Would be an ace signing imo. Exactly what we need.

He's great on the eye but has similar goal returns as Ryan Sessegnon and an injury record to match.

I'd like a forward who has a good injury record (Ange will break him!) and be a 10+ goal a season player. Especially for that price.

But he is really talented so if we got him I'd probably be excited to see what he could do with better players.

As you said his injuries are unconnected. It isn't like he's had recurring muscle injuries like Olise. He's just been unlucky.

He's lightning quick so he would still offer the pace in-behind fullbacks for cutbacks etc. What separates him from Werner, Johnson etc though is the fact he's good on the ball too and can receive to feet, can beat players on the run OR from a standing start etc. He's just so aggressive and relentless in his attacking play.

His style is literally made for Ange. Think his output goals and assist wise would absolutely explode.

I’d say missing nearly 90 games in four years is a little more than unlucky if I’m honest.
Don’t get me wrong I’d love him here but the sort of money that they’d want with that injury record makes it a very high risk deal indeed.

Break down the injuries though.

Broken kneecap, freak injury - Out for 297 days. Very rare injury.
Ankle Ligament Tear - Out for 127 days due to surgery. Not uncommon injury with footballers.
Hamstring injury - Out for 58 days. Similar injury to VdV and his first proper muscle injury. Could well have been caused by missing so much football because of the previous 2 injuries and then playing a lot again.

He'd had hardly any injuries before this.

We'll want to do bizniz early, Wolves will have many suitors for Neto and will want a bidding war. Selling early to us to doesn't suit them, I say this is a no go.

He's the one I want this summer, yes please.

Kind of attacking signing Liverpool make, wouldn't be surprised if he ends up there as a Salah replacement.

Wouldn't mind betting Paratici has his eye on a few players none of us has ever heard of.

Would be a very exciting signing without a doubt. Will be a lot of competition for him you would think though and he will cost a bomb.

If you were sniffing around Eze or Olise for 50+ mil then you're ready to spunk that and more on this fella. Would be over the moon.

Before his injuries he was only 18-19 years old so I personally don’t think that’s really relevant if I’m honest.

I accept they’re separate injury issues but those are long, long periods out for each one.
He’s obviously a great player and if we want to take the risk then fair enough. 😊

I agree that it is preferred to have different injuries than recurring injuries in the same area.

However, some players are genetically more susceptible to injuries than others.

It might be worth it on a risk/reward basis, but Neto probably needs to stay more or less injury free for the rest of the season to get a big move this summer.

Liverpool are an obvious destination at face value but I guess it really depends on several factors for them. Who the next manager is, if Salah leaves and who + when they appoint a new DoF as their current one is leaving/left.

I’m really not convinced that club would commit to such a large transfer until those three question marks have been dealt with. So i can certainly see the time frame of Neto moving playing a factor in regards to their interest. Ie, if its a deal that drags on all summer then they could well be serious candidates for his signature but if its something that gets done in the first few weeks then maybe not so much.
