Kean only had a year left on his deal and wanted to get away from a thoroughly rascist country.
The latter is compete speculation and is actually the opposite of what Kean has said. There is a big problem with racism in Italy, however, it is also very much his country. Similarly its not like the PL has a massive anti-racist rep abroad. Though it is clearly a much smaller issue here than in italy.

The reason he wanted to leave is he wanted to play regularly. He is way too good to be on the bench, if he was prepared to be a squad player he would have gone somewhere much bigger than Everton!

Yeah but imagine you are the player. By all accounts you were happy and had no thoughts of leaving. Then Sarri decides he doesn't want you and Juve actively try and force you out. You resist at first (asking massive wages etc from United) but in the end you change your mind and agree to join Spurs, agree personal terms and seem reasonably happy to join (girlfriend even tweets she fancies living in London)......then just when you are all set to go,Juve decide you can't - yet nothing has changed in the managers mind has it ? so you know deep down that the manager doesn't fancy you.

Not a good situation and one that will need some major backtracking on or he ends up moving anyway (although obviously not to us once the window shuts!)

I don’t think it’s done. I just think Juve need to line up a replacement if they’re potentially losing both Mandzukic and Dybala. Or they take a punt. Or the Mandzukic deal doesn’t happen and we’ve back on. All guess work obviously but only scenario that makes sense with all the ITK we’ve received.

dont know what'll happen but I dont believe for a second that the deal is off because Juve just realized they dont have a replacement. FFS so much crap out there.

If this loan with obligation to buy thing is being suggested with Dybala too, I wonder if that changes the GLC deal. Presuming we’d have to purchase them next summer, that would put us around £120M spent at the start of next summer before even bringing anybody else in. Surely one of them would have to be officially bought on a permanent this summer?

If it does then it makes a lot more sense for them to sell Mandzukic who's older and not as talented.
But on the other hand, Mandzukic is way more effective than Dybala out wide, more consistent and better foil for Ronaldo. He would raise less money too.

We wouldn’t pay £120m next summer in one lump sum. May just be the start of regular payments which may go over the course of 3+ years.

Wait, what? When was GLC a loan? When were we not paying that? I don't think GLC and Dybala were linked. Dybala just in general always seemed like a bonus and if it happens we'll do it. Not sure how it'd affect the GLC deal in anyway when all reports over this week and what not have said both. So why delaying paying Dybala would affect that... i can't see your logic mate

Talking THFC @TalkingTHFC 7s The issue of Paulo Dybala's move to Tottenham Hotspur is solely down to his image rights and talks have not yet broken down between the two clubs as is being reported. [Romeo Agresti] #THFC

If it’s between selling PD or MM they will propably sell the letter as i guess Man. Utd are buying. Then they can use the money and reinvest.

Dybala's value is less likely to drop though. If they don't sell Mandzukic now, he will probably be worth even less next season

The article continues below

Paulo Dybala has not yet found the agreement with Tottenham and the road at the moment is quite uphill, as the hours pass. Decisive the question of the image rights of the Argentine player: not resolved so far between the two parties.

The door has not been completely closed at the moment, with Juventus maintaining constant contacts with Tottenham to understand the situation and reach a conclusion, one way or the other. There will be a new meeting in the early afternoon.

The market in the Premier League closes today at 6pm and this is a real race against the clock by Juventus, Tottenham and the player's entourage.

The article continues below

We remind you that the thorny issue is related to the image rights of the player: the company 'Image Star' that holds them will have to agree with all the parties involved, including Juventus. Practices difficult to dispose of in a few hours
