Let’s go with the £62-65m which was quotes about N’Dombele including the ad-ons. We still don’t know how much was upfront and Over how many years.

If Juve need to clear the decks and create more wage and/or balance the books and want 80m in a lump sum with no add-ons they are limiting their audience.
Who will buy their most sellable asset?

Not Barca as they just bought Griezman and maybe Neymar next.

Not Madrid as they just bought Hazard and are wanting Bale to go so they can free up money to possible buy Neymar also.

Man City - possibly

Liverpool - Coutinho cash spent so may have to do a structured payment.

Man United - possible swap with Pogba? But still may have to sell to balance the books.

PSG - only true club that can pay upfront, may buy if Neymar goes.

That’s a very small base of clubs to aim for if they truly need to get him off the books.
I genuinely don’t think that any club in world football would pay an 80m fee upfront and it not be in instalments

Nice, this year's Martial. Really Keeps the transfer window interesting right up to the end. More believable than Bale at least

Klopp did a big speech this week about not wanting to rock the boat, not targeting big name individuals etc... that doesn't sound like Dybala to me, although I do think they need attacking depth/competition.
Plus they want to keep the Coutinho return door open for next year

They’ve just spent 125m on a very similar player

Agreed but if you are in the market for James (a luxury #10) at £60m, Dybala at £80m must be tempting. Does sound like Costa may be off too.

I hope they'd rule themselves out because they can match our trump card, highly rated countryman manager known for improving players.

The difference being that Utd didn't want to sell (well Woodward didn't). This seems different. That said convincing Dybala would be by far the hardest part of this deal IMO.

I don't think this will happen. We are definitely a backward step in comparison to Juve who have a rich pedigree. We would need to pay him a sizeable wage, which is doable, however he would probably demand a release clause or a shorter 3 year contract to guarantee the step back up to one of the continental giants. Our standing isn't as high as we think it is!

Secondly, once a fee is agreed his agent will be contacting bigger clubs such as Real, Bayern have money and can afford him. And dare I say that Liverpool do have money for the right player; Arsenal will have big money to spend if they can get rid of PEA who is unhappy and wants to go to china. Even they despite being Europa are still a bigger draw than us; they have to risk everything to get into the CL next season otherwise their spending will seriously be cut.
I don't think our stock is as high as we think it is; yes we have the best stadium in Europe and great facilities, but word amongst others is that we are still a third tier team; More like a Dortmund or Arsenal, who still have a bigger reputation than us. teams like pool, athletics, Bayern and inter are 2nd, whilst Barca, United and Real are top tier.
For this signing to come off we would need to agree terms with him which would be difficult his agent would need to be focused on us (bigger agents fee) to make sure that we have a clear run for him.
I think your being a bit harsh on our reputation I think we are an established tier 2 side. Can you name another tier 3 side with our finances, stadium, training facilities, I'm struggling to think of one. We have more revenue than Juv, Dortmund and Atletick though I agree they have a better recent on pitch success

Perhaps, everything is possible as poch would say
Poch said we cant operate in the same way we had in the previous 5 years and we seem to be making some nice amounts of cash, added to that our stadium and continuous Champions league qualification. There is no reason not to be in the market for these players?

No doubt in terms of pecking order theres a few ahead of us but we have the Poch factor, hes friends with Lamela and then we have a few other argies (if we got lo celso also) so maybe we might have enough pull to get it over the line, we would need luck on our side though.

After I wrote the post, I researched a little deeper on Juventus and FFP, because I was genuinely shocked by their outlay versus revenue.

Found this article: https://www.managingmadrid.com/2018/8/18/17727380/uefa-ffp-trouble-juventus-cristiano-ronaldo

I really think they could end up being the next club that gets caught in hot water regarding FFP. FFP is assessed over three-year periods and Juve relies heavily on the CL for TV and prize money considering Serie A doesn't come close to the money of the EPL and La Liga. So when the money made from their trip to the 16/17 CL final comes off the books at the end of this year, they could be fucked. This is the choice portion:

"The problem for Juve will really come in 2019/20, when their very good year (2016/17) will be wiped off the books for FFP purposes. Assuming Juve post a €88m loss in 2018/19 (it might be more than that if they choose not to sell a number of players), they will be staring at a three-year FFP calculation that looks very grim—an operating loss of almost €100m for the two years preceding 2019/20, and an additional €60m per year in player salary. This would require Juve to post a €130m operating profit in 2019/20 or risk being barred from UEFA competition. And that’s when Ronaldo’s salary and amortized transfer fee becomes a massive weight around the team’s neck: and because transfer fees aren’t paid in one lump sum, Juve can’t just count on selling Paolo Dybala for exactly that much money to make up the difference."

Maybe that's why Juve have pulled out of FIFA game and have signed a new deal with PES? Raising new higher income stream?

He scored roughly 1 in 2 in his first three seasons with Juve, but last season only scored 10 in 42 (not the stats of an £80m player). Anyone know what happened there?

Pushed out to the wing I read or someone said.

The only way were going to sign players like this is when they get pushed down the order like Moura did at PSG.

Man City: under investigation after Rodri transfer
Man Utd: need a CB for 80m + europa league
Liverpool: probably recovering a bit from last summer "dont need an 80m luxury player"
Chelsea: transfer ban
Bayern: going all in on Sané
Barca: neymar and Griezmann

Real: might be interested if they don't get Eriksen or Pogba. Wage issues if Bale stays?
PSG: might be interested if Neymar goes?
Spurs: might be interested but already spent 100m+ (if Lo Celso and Sess are counted)

Same that happened when Keane went to Liverpool - a forward loses effectiveness when people stop passing to them and they get put in positions where they don't get chances.

Ronaldo usurped him from the team, essentially

The amount of times the same comment has been made by a huge amount of posters is bewildering.
