Again, not a sports lawyer but if that's the issue I don't see how it stops the transfer and can't be resolved after.

I think it’s something to do with the cost of losing the case as somebody posted earlier. We’d be taking on that liability.

I almost wish this link had never surfaced. If (when?) it doesn't now happen, it's going to be so disappointing!

Daniel, if you're reading, I pledge to buy a new shirt with Dybala on the back if you get this done. Should help with that pesky image rights payment. You're welcome.

Captain’s armband - parting gift??
Surely if we want him, Juve want shot of him, and he wants to come, there are three very interested parties in making this happen, and with still most of tomorrow to do it.
It’s not like the window closes tonight, and we only have a couple of hours to resolve it.

If I was Juve I would be very pissed about the image rights holding up the deal, they will want it sorted and for the transfer to go through, that's the bit that tells me we will get it over the line.

So basically what we all thought: the image rights company wants a payoff. Make it happen Levy, chances like this don't come along very often.

This all makes sense now. Why on earth would Juventus accept a bid of £64.5 million for Dybala...

It's because there's another £40 million that needs clearing.

Also his representatives and agents will want it to happen because they get a payday.

I guess the only ones that wouldn't (unless they get a fee they want) is the image rights holders.

Seems it's more than that from Delaney's tweets, messy situation
All commercial legal problems can be solved with money.

The issue seems to be that the company owns his image rights in Italy (where they exist), and wants a payoff because image rights don't exist in the same way in England and Wales. The legal side can be complex but the solution is often, in these situations, money.

Edit: wtf at the doh rating @Rmo29

I can almost guarantee you if United had the same level of links to him that we have right now, they'd be doing a 20 hour segment on him to United. They only focus on what will get them views.
When the Dybala and Lo Celso situation started to blow up big time today SSN started the top of their programme with ten minutes on how Man Utd were not going to buy Eriksen.
To be honest I suspect this will depend on Levy's legal advice, if they advise we would be in bad position he'll drop it but if they say we'd have a strong case he'll go for it and if he does the image rights company ought to be very afraid.
