Just when I thought Merson was starting to get on all right and was saying some nice things about us recently- but its easy to be nice when he doesn't see us a threat to his beloved Arsenal, that obviously changed on Tuesday night.

2 great games? WTF....Bale has been pretty much amazing for the whole of 2010. Yes he will have off days, but so do the Ronaldo's of this world. Ok he's nowhere near that level in terms of consistency and length of time at the top end of the game yet, but thats such a tired and lazy cliche he's used there.

Yes the two Milan games were pretty extraordinary, but its not like he hasn't playing very well in a load of others.

I think Merse is being fair. We all want Bale to become this top top player.
He needs to produce the performances against Inter more frequently in
the premiership to be considered a truly world class talent.
I'm not knocking Bale because he has been fantastic for us since January.
The games against Inter were his best.
If he can replicate that every other game then we have one hell of a player.
I'd be satisfied with a draw away though my gut feeling is that we'll win.
We're not Liverpool are styles are a complete mismatch they struggled to
win at Bolton were as we will play open style football as will Bolton.
I can only see one winner.
