Happy New Year fellow Spurs fans.

I'm taking my son and nephew (ages 6 and 7) to their first game this Saturday. Due to rail strikes, we are having to drive down from the midlands and i'm in two minds about what to do re: parking. With two youngsters in tow I want to make it as painless as possible so plan to get to Tottenham by 10/10.30 ish.

I've provisionally booked someones driveway on Justpark.com (£85 :() but I notice on the Spurs web page that the Sainsbury car park can be used. Anyone got any experience of using the parking there? or any parking in Tottenham tips in general?

Any help much appreciated guys

£85 is ridiculous. We normally pay £10 or so on JustPark and then a 30 minute walk. If you want closer £20-30 is normally available.

Yeah I was expecting maybe £40 tops. I guess with the strikes people bumping their prices. Nothing under £100 available currently, at least not with that website

Wasn't aware that the Sainsbury's car park can be used on match days , it can used non match days when booking stadium tours , spurs shop etc but they always used to have stewards checking on match days to stop fans parking there I do not know if that is still the case.
I have never used it but another alternative is Edmonton Green shopping centre car park 1.5 miles from the stadium and then get the bus down before the match, any bus number ending in 9 gets you near the ground , going back you need to walk as far as the Angel then get a bus up to Edmonton Green

Thanks mate, appreciate your info

. I think you are probably correct re: Sainsburys parking only for non-match days

The other bonus of parking somewhere up by the Green is that you don't get caught up in the jam that develops after the match , the queues up to the Angel lights travelling north stretch all the way back and down Northumberland Park. Be aware that the match day CPZ extends into Edmonton so unless you find a space on private land parking anywhere near the stadium is almost impossible.

Plenty of parking on and near Pretoria Road and also the industrial estate near Grange road anything from £15 to £35. You need to message the £85 chancer back and tell them that a parking ticket is cheaper.

Thanks for this

I think i'll get a refund from JustPark and set off nice and early and look for a space around Grange Road/Brantwood Road.

That’s the road I was thinking of. Brantwod Road. Plenty of parking spaces in the cash and carry warehouses there. As long as you are there before 11am you’ll be fine. Less than 7 minutes walk to the ground.

Cheers for the info. Was looking at Brantwood Road as a strike busting option too - used to park there a bit in old WHL days - but a quick Google Street View check and the road/kerb signs suggests its also part of the match day no parking zone. Are you able to confirm this isn't the case?

Where in the midlands? Not all trains are cancelled and I'll be getting a train from the midlands to Euston. I could offer some advice.

I think Spurs mention the Sainsburys for visitors on non-matchdays for the skywalk and stadium tours. Other than that, there are industrial areas, garages and schools nearby for about £30. Will take 3hrs post match to get home though parking so close with the traffic after the match.

Your other option is to drive and park at Broxbourne / Cheshunt and get the Anglian Service to Northumberland Park and walk from there.

There’s no on-street parking for cars on Brantwood Road. There are several industrial/warehouse premises offering parking for £20 but they fill up early when there are train/tube strikes.

Hello mate. Depends where you're looking on Just Park. Spurs do a free pre-bookable shuttle bus to and from the ground from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/the-stadium/attending-matches/getting-here/shuttle-bus-services/

I normally get a driveway around Alexandra Palace, shuttle bus it in and back. Driveway never more than £15 max (normally £10). It's honestly a great service.

Make sure you check whether your car meets the ULEZ (Emissions charge) and prepay if required. I know plenty who get hit with an £80 fine for not checking or paying.

Another option, which I’ve used in the past and will be doing on Saturday, is book a driveway in Walthamstow (normally less than £10), and then tube it from Walthamstow Central to Tottenham Hale.

Rugby would be the local station mate.

Really appreciate yours and everyone's suggestions. If was just me I wouldnt be so concerned, its just having two youngsters with me that adds a bit of stress!

It’s in the controlled parking zone but there are plenty of private companies there who provide parking

The above is where I always park if getting there 90minutes to 2 hrs before. Cheap to park on the road and as mentioned a parking ticket is cheaper than the prices quoted. Haven’t been in a year or so but never paid more than £10-15.
Traffic can be bad getting away so make sure you park facing the right direction to get out. The upside is I usually get really close to White Hart Lane station.

There’s an Avanti West Coast train that stops at Rugby at 0925 and gets to Euston at 1032. I’ll be on this one. Avanti are running trains every hour. ??

I'm driving for first time ever and parking at North Middlesex Uni Hospital. Should be around 5/6 quid and it's a 20 minute walk to the ground. Was advised to get there early so aiming for 10.30.
