Yes but after then end of last season - there are thought to be a total of 14 u16 players (including Marcus) who have been identified as the new intake of Scholars (see the youth thread for more details).

I posted this in the youth thread earlier, as its youth focussed

Spurs retained list - no real surprises, but more retained than expected, the surprises are :

Shaq Coulthirst,- thought he was 50/50 but kept aas we have no other strikers of his age
Tomislav Gomelt (thought he was a certainty to go, but apparently still in contract)
Grant Hall - Contract extended, maybe to get a fee for him
Filip Lesniak - Offer of contract made to him, thought he was 50/50 to leave
Kenneth McEvoy - Retained
Joe Pritchard - Retained

A few surprises on those offered 3rd year scholarships rather than pro contracts, the surprises are :

Luke Amos - extended ie 3rd year Scholarship rather than a pro contract
Anthony Georgiou - extended
Cy Goddard - extended (thought he might be released)
Shayon Harrison - extended
Harry Voss - extended
Anton Walkes

So only Joshua Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters from last season's Academy Year 2 are on pro contracts, all the others are on 3rd year scholarships.

From Last Years Academy year 1, both Cameron Carter-Vickers and Christian Maghoma are already on pro contracts, so already out of the Academy scholarship system, a year earlier than usual

What happened to Ceballos? Was it his decision to leave or did we not think he would make it? I guess at 22 you would expect him to have made a bit more of an impact but I thought he looked decent enough in the very short cameos in pre-season.

There were quotes in January that he was looking to leave the club as he didn't think he'd have a shot at first team football.

Rumours were that he declined to sign a contract extension in the autumn, so wasn't played and now original contract has run out, so he's gone.

Yup Joe Pritchard apparently signed a contract.

Musa Yahaya has never been reported as signing a full contract, only some sort of pre-contract. Cannot sign a pro contract until he's 18 (December 2015) apparently so we'll wait and see - imo possibly may depend on whether he has an EU passport and work permit !

Disappointed by Archer. Probably the best for his career though if Button is anything to go buy. Would love us to bring through a keeper.

Exactly as expected, maybe the release list is slightly shorter than anticipated. Kaboul stays on, as some of us have been trying to say earlier (many expected his contract to run out this summer).
