Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to add some depth to Ange Postecoglou’s defence but the Premier League giants have seen an opening bid of £3 million rejected by Club America for Sebastian Caceres.
“Club America rejected Tottenham’s offer for Sebastian Caceres,” reporter Fernando Esquivel writes on X. “It can be known that the offer was around £3 million.”
Club America, Esquivel adds, want a minimum of £4.3 million, and may yet hold out for £6 million. That, of course, is still a potential bargain of a fee for a 24-year-old centre-half now hitting his stride, and establishing himself as a key part of the Uruguayan national team under their living legend of a head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
