Bryan Gil played the full 90 minutes on his Tottenham debut against Pacos de Ferreira as Nuno Espirito Santo's men lost 1-0 out in Portugal

So we’ve signed another playing we don’t really understand, doesn’t fit the managers system etc etc etc

Not too surprised. Ringo Starr is a drummer - NOT a footballer!

I didn't see the game last night but struggled to work out who played where with Sessegnon, Davies and Gil all in the side. Can anyone shed some light?

Ben Davies played LCB
Sess: LWB
Bryan Gil played a little bit everywhere…

Nuno took the blame for it, and rightly so. Young kid in a new team who are unfamiliar to himself and to each other and he was given about 5 different roles. Set up to fail

Davies was LB/LCB

Sess and Gil both moved around alot. I saw both on the left, right, and alongside Scarlett. Sess also dropped deeper at times. It looked like we were trying to be fluid, but the team cohesion just wasnt there.

EDIT: Apparently Winks had to pull Gil up on leaving us exposed down his side.

It did always look a strange one - Gil plays all his football on the left as an orthodox winger. Given we have Son who plays there must of the time it's not obvious what the plan is for Gill, other than to play him in a role he's not used to.
