Yep I read the post. It was trying to say that we didn’t need more creativity. Recent events show that we do.

Your point about other teams is pretty irrelevant as we support Spurs.
You clearly didn’t read it then as it states we need a fair few new players… just not the kind of player you’re saying.

The amount of people that have never watched him play but have already decided he will flop or isnt good enough ?
In defence of the doubters, deki was hardly a big fish at juve. So I can understand why it looked as if we were getting a cast-off, as they'd previously had players like Ronaldo, dybala, etc ahead of him. Zaniolo on the other hand has had a prominent and important role at Roma for quite a few years now and hasn't necessary delivered the numbers expected - and that's under a variety of managers.

Would be a worry if there's only one manager that has the ability to get the best out of him. Especially if Conte isn't here for the long-term.

Love how Kulu and Bents are now at the standard every player will be we sign now ??‍♂️. Let’s remember they were not getting that much game time so they kind of went under the radar. Zaniolo has played plenty and is struggling. And apparently it’s because of Jose now??

Yeah but not since Paratici arrived really. Based on the underrated / misused young players from Italy we’ve signed so far it seems like he really knows his stuff.
I agree in part but the jury is still out in some respects not all of the signings have been proven yet and to claim so would disingenuous (not that I think you are doing that) but you can see why people may have doubts and that is valid.

I agree the two lads from Italy helped and were good signings, I don’t believe top 4 last season happens without them.

How can we have enough creativity in the team when we are currently lacking creativity in the team?

Whilst we have some creative players in the squad, we clearly need at least one more as we look flat and struggle to break down teams with the players we currently have available.

If our creative players are currently injured, isn’t it possible that they become injured again? If that happens, we’ll struggle to win games, meaning we won’t get top 4.

We clearly disagree on this, and that’s ok. It’s just opinions, and ones that don’t actually matter at that.

Also Romero although obviously he was well established when we brought him in. Regarding Zaniolo, it’s worth noting Paratici wanted him at Juve and has been tracking him intently for years. He will likely know him, his strengths and weaknesses inside out. I get why some will have concerns but in this regard I have faith in the transfer if Conte and Paratici are 100% convinced he is the right player for us.

What we disagree on is your ability to read a post.

He's clearly made the odd mistake - Royal is a notable dud - but the overall improvement in recruitment since Paratici arrived is pretty massive.

Pre-Paratici the only successes in 5 whole years of signings were PEH, Lucas and Wanyama. And none of those 3 were even that brilliant. Wanyama was amazing for 1 season then got crocked, PEH is solid but has limitations, while Lucas has had a legendary moment but has largely been a fringe player

In just 3 windows Paratici has signed 3 massive successes in Romero, Kulu and Bentacur, which alone is a huge step up. And beyond that, Sarr and Udogie look like very big talents, and we're yet to see the best of Rich or Bissouma.

As you say, the jury is out on plenty of the players, but it's undeniable our recruitment has improved a lot since he arrived - the prior 5 years under Levy were SO much worse.

I can't believe Levy took so long to appoint a manager after sacking Jose. He obviously doesn't visit SC ?

In fairness Paratici bought Emerson Royal under Nuno as a RB, before we knew we would move to a WB formation under Conte.

Otherwise Paratici's recruitment has been pretty faultless and if he and Conte want Zaniolo I hope they get him.

For anyone interested Roma play AC tonight at 7.45. Zaniolo did have a slight knock from their last game but is expected to be fit for tonight. Should be a good watch.
