I’ve not seen him much but is it true he has more yellow cards in Italy than goal contributions? Is it true he had 11 injuries last season? I guess he is cheap and buying a few players will make fans happy for a few weeks. But is he going to make us better? A genuine question

Apparently Conte believes he's being used in the wrong way at Roma and he has a plan for how he'd use him at Spurs to get more out of him. That's the optimistic take.

He's clearly a talent and he offers something a bit different but I think his success would massively depend on how Conte uses him and if Conte stays.

So to answer your question - will he make us better? Fuck knows.

He's Conte's number one target. That's the only thing you really need to know.

Hope it’s a loan with an option or an obligation that’s hard to achieve. Will be pretty worried otherwise.

I would be absolutely amazed if it is ether of those.
Then it’s a gigantic risk. Player who’s had a terrible season, has more career yellow cards than goals and assists, done both his ACLs and doesn’t really offer any defining quality other than train-like ball carrying for a fairly niche role in the system of a manager who probably won’t be here in the summer. Would be way safer to sign a fast left sided attacker with 1v1 qualities as we really lack this in the squad. We really don’t need Zaniolo and based on what I’ve seen of him he’s not very good. Everyone talks about past recruitment mistakes but this could be another huge blunder in my opinion. No thanks.
