Whilst I know what you mean, this would be akin to saying we don’t need Richarlison as we have Kane. If Kulusevski is tired/out of form/injured/suspended/up against a direct opponent who has him figured out, then we can bring Zaniolo into the game and let him see if his more direct, powerful approach works. Conte clearly sees something in him that he feels is worth £50M and he is in a position to be fully backed. A loan with an option would obviously be ideal, and maybe we can sweeten that by doing similar with Ndombele or another of our misfits going the other way.Watching Kulusevski today reminded me why I’m against this transfer. Close to £50m for a guy who just isn’t as good as Kulu. Can you think of a single match situation where you’d rather have him on the pitch than Deki? It just feels off.
