They aren’t going to reinstate him after all that’s gone on. Even we aren’t that tone deaf. What agent or club is going to want to deal with us if we do that?

Normally, I would agree but you can never be certain with Spurs…We appeared to have botched the Slot hiring and have permanently alienated Nagelsmann after our absurd denial that we were not even interested in him…

I prefer that to the executives in his ear who have no idea about football matters

Yep, at least he knows something about football even though his managerial choices have been a little difficult to understand…

The guy is a complete chancer who glammered his way into Juve, rode Marotta’s coat-tails, made an absolute mess when he left, cooked the books, and convinced the idiot Levy he was some kind of ace executive because he signed a Ronaldo no-one else wanted.

He’s honestly indicative of all of Levy’s failures of judgement.

If the rumours of Ange are true, maybe a DOF will be off the cards. He likes to run the show and then sit with head of recruitment to review incomings and outgoings. Ange has last say on this.

Yet he managed to sign us some decent players, was pretty brutal in getting everyone out of the squad for the year that Conte didn't want here and made positive changes to the scouting and youth structure that should benefit us in years to come, all despite being only a chancer. So a good effort imo.

He wasn’t able to sell anyone, though. He found some good players, most of which he’d signed before. It’s mot exactly a glowing resume.

So you just want to ignore the work he has done behind the scenes sorting out the scouting side of the club and bringing in several highly rated youth players ?

He sorted out the scouting, but we’ve no real idea what he’s done. I’ve no faith in his methods at all.

Imagine the DoF will not operate as a traditional DoF, but more a head of recruitment anyway, to complement whatever function Scott Munn is performing.

He did.

Although I'd say Romero, Deki and Bentancur were 3 of the best and Paratici knew all about their situations, so easier to pull them off.

The Gil - Lamela switch was heavily weighted in Sevilla's favour.
Gollini was a waste of time.
Emerson wasn't a great fit.

Sarr has been a great find.

Bissouma and Spence are clearly club signings.

I think it's a bit hit and miss to be honest which also highlights how he isn't a DOF who can build a cohesive squad.

Whether you think Paraticis signings were ok or not and I'd argue the only impressive one is Udogie as the Juve lads were due to his previous employment I can't understand why we're still hearing his name.

It's so frustrating that seemingly the one guy that Levy trusts is a crook who seemingly couldn't pick a decent coach that fits the club if his brown envelope slapped him in the face.

So, while we’re still sitting on out hands:

City: Signing Kovacic
Arse: Working on Rice for months
United: Circling Kane.
Newcastle: Signing Veiga, one of Real’s top targets.
Liverpool: Appointed DOF, Signing Mac Allister, Van der Ven.
Brighton: Signed Joao Pedro
Villa: Signing Asensio.
