Played on the pitch today after entering the members competition, unreal day. The Spursy'est/Levy'est thing ever happened which was quite funny.

On the invite they asked for full kit size, shirt, shorts and socks. We turn up, they hand out the kit and turns out we're playing in training gear but they only provide us with long sleeve training top and shorts, no socks.

So we all ended up having to go to the Spurs Shop next door and buying ourselves the socks :ROFLMAO:

So, tell us a bit more about it - sounds awesome. Did you score?!

Ended 3-3 but they wouldn’t let us take pens because of the games this weekend. Not as well organised as the one I did at the old stadium but still an amazing day. David Howells and Micky Hazard were the managers. No goals for me but got an assist.

Micky especially spoke so passionately and was really interesting to have a chat with him when we got grub after the game, he didn't hold back when talking about the shit football we've endured over the last few years, he's proper Spurs.

3-3.... Did spurs play some of our defenders in the teams?!

In the 4 full seasons since the stadium opened:

Spurs place in table:

22/23 - 7 or 8
21/22 - 4
20/21 - 7
19/20 - 6

4 previous seasons:

18/19 - 4
17/18 - 3
16/17 - 2
15/16 - 3

I am beginning to think that maybe the stadium is not the game changer Levy was expecting...

I think it's more the players turning/being shit more than the stadium. Not seen our team play as a team and play well constantly for years now.

That and bar a few fixtures we don't seem to be able to make it a fortress or intimidating, albeit it's slightly unfair to judge on tv as the volume definitely gets turned down.
Oddly in the new stadium we seem to generate the most atmosphere I think; against City as in from start to finish with very little drop off ever since we moved in.

Somebody else put it best a while ago it's a great stadium unfortunately the opposition like playing in it too so it tends towards a neutral ground at the moment.

We've still to get our feet under the table properly; if we had an excellently drilled cohesive team and a crowd that made it really difficult for the opposition to communicate that'd be lovely. We've just not had much cohesion since we went to Wembley for two years and then came back home; which is the other baffling thing for as long as we played away from home you'd have thought our away form would be more solid plus when we have been back to Wembley since we still looked intimidated by the place.

I don't quite get it; I've said it many times all the players we keep going forwards and every sod that works behind the scenes in whatever capacity we should send them to Professor Steve Peters.

Spurs are currently taking part in a pitch trial with the NFL. At our stadium and 14 stadiums in the States, a new fake surface with more ‘give’ in it is being tested. The aim is to cut down on joint injuries in players.
