I think you are missing my point, I the ordinary man in the street currently pays £980 (east upper). I will now have to move to either the south/north stands which are not as good a view as I have now and will probably pay the same price that I am currently paying. The prices for the season tickets in the new stadium will not be available until late 2017.
I'm struggling to understand your argument. You will be able to sit in the West or East stand in the new stadium.

Yes but it will be in the upper tier, much farther away from the pitch, than his current seat. A far worse view than he has now. As the seats with the best views are all for corporates.

You are right there will be season tickets available in the East and West stands but they will either be much lower or up in the gods. What I am trying to get across is for the same view I currently have it will now cost me £5000 plus Vat for a minimum 3 season contract.

The other bonus they have come up with is if you buy one of these premium seats you don't have to go to Wembley next season. Unfortunately I have decided to give up my season tickets at the end of this season because the Wembley journey will had 2 hours to my return travel time. Which means I will proberly end up without a seat in our new stadium.

The clubs head of ticketing said this week they are considering offering an amnesty for Wembley

I hope so as I'm 12k on the waiting list and really don't want to go to Wembley, so hoping they don't offer one or let me keep my place but wait a year. I don't want to lose my place on the waiting list just because I don't want to go to that shit hole

I once mentioned this in another thread, and @eddiev14 told me that even if you decline a season ticket (e.g. you're waiting for mates so you can sit together), you keep your place in the queue.

I'm 1300th in the Waiting List, and I really don't want one for next season.

I was told today that if you don't renew your season ticket next season then you will lose your automatic offer of a season ticket in the new stadium.

I am talking about existing season ticket holders, not people on the waiting list.

You may be right, but if some of the season ticket seats' prices have not yet been announced then you could also be wrong. That must be the frustrating part of having to wait!

EDIT: Just read some more of the other comments, so you may get a seat further away, but with the steepness of the seat banking it may not be too much worse than you currently have.

It's true.

I'm around 80th in the list and have turned down a few offers from the club, they always say you keep your place.

This is what I feared and it goes against what the club originally said when we knew we had to move. I know why they're doing it, because they're shit scared that all current ST holders won't bother renewing, but I still think it's out of order to back down on what they promised.

I've been a ST for over 15 years (and was going to almost all home games and plenty of away games) during the 90's when we were truly dreadful and now I'll lose my place for the new stadium because I won't commit to a season at Wembley. I'm in the same situation as you where despite being in London, Wembley adds a lot of time and hassle to my journey. I have a young family now and don't want to spend that long travelling and I also go to matches with my Dad who too old now to really hack being pushed and shoved on a tube for an hour etc.

why not either find a friend or someone that would take your seat at Wembley for the 1 season, or put the tickets on sale at stubhub at the recommend price, so you at least have the option to keep having a season ticket in the new stadium once it opens

only a suggestion
