I'll apply but still think it's a bit of a piss take.
I disagree, I think £65 is quite reasonable to me.

Considering the costs of admitting fans - stewarding, cleaners, sanitiser, food and drink sales staff, etc to cover 2000 people, the fact they think £65 is cost effective is a pleasant surprise for me. I was bracing for it to be higher. I did think some clubs may choose not to accept fans at all if the cost of staffing is close to, or exceeds what they can expect through ticket/food & drink/shop sales.

The other real piece of good news is that people who are chosen are excluded from future ballots so if you have trouble getting a ticket, your chances will gradually increase as the season goes on. That's a nice touch.

I'm not a St holder but not sure I would go if I could. On one hand it's a NLD and it's nice just to have something to go out for. On the other hand it could be a shit atmosphere and I have sky so can watch at home.

I don't think they have mentioned chanting yet have they? Maybe being in that South Stand even spread out we could create some atmosphere still. It's like away day numbers which create a great atmosphere with everyone grouped together. It will be a great test of that single tier to amplify 2k fans chanting.

Yep that's definitely a fair way of doing it, in terms of the price my way of looking at it is that's what you'd usually pay and you're getting a far reduced experience. On the flip side you're getting an opportunity many aren't I suppose.

I agree paying more for what will undoubtedly be a reduced experience is a difficult sell.

Whilst I think the chances of our club going under due to Covid are low, the club is desperate for money at the moment. Every pound and penny is crucial and could set what the next 1, 5 and 10 years for us looks like.

I could say... "Pay more for a crap experience? Nahhh", but if enough do that as well, it will hurt the club, possibly long term. I'll stop short of saying it's every fan's duty to spend money with the club but anything you do spend with the club, be it shop, tickets, food & drink, you're really helping the clubs short term survival, possibly long term.

I live in an area of Wales called Rhondda Cynon Taff. All through the corona crisis this area has had the highest number of covid infections and the highest number of covid deaths.
In line with current guidelines local cinema is accepting bookings, all above board.
Every other row in each studio is not available to be booked. In the rows where seats can be booked you can book seats in blocks of two seats. Book two seats together ,then the next 4 seats remain empty. The rows in front and behind are empty. No masks except in public areas and toilets when entering or leaving and a one way system.
Limited snack and drinks can only be booked online.
This is INDOORS.
Surely to God far more than 2000 or 4000 could be accommodated in a 60,000+ stadium with OUTDOOR seating and a huge number of eating and drinking outlets.
Doh, ????

So you put down a large deposit on your season ticket but they can't set that against the £65?

Nope my understanding is the deposit will roll over against next seasons if we finish the season with reduced capacity as expected and pay separately for tickets for the time being.

If you have credit on account it means you also used that for the ST deposits. One can debate the way they're doing it, but no one's being left out of Pickett for not being able to purchase tickets with credit from summer of 19. In a normal world any value left would be long gone by now.

with that thinking and it being a bigger game I hope they give the 1st ballot to our away fan group

Link: Online Planning Services: Application Search

There is a Planning Application in to make the Goods Yard site a temporary car park. Extract from application letter:

The proposals are in direct response to the Club’s ‘Return of Fans’ project, which seeks to re-introduce spectators into the Stadium for THFC games on a phased basis, corresponding with prevailing national Covid-19 restrictions.

The Government has today announced that spectators will be permitted to return to outdoor sport events following the end of the current lockdown on 2 December. In the lowest-risk areas a maximum of 4,000 fans will be permitted, with up to 2,000 people allowed in tier two areas.

In the longer term, discussions are ongoing between the Club, the SGSA and the Safety Advisory Group around a potential ‘Covid-19 compliant’ capacity, which could be within the range of 15-22,000 spectators in due course (subject to further Government announcements).

From a transport perspective, the Club is also in discussion with its key partners, including Transport for London; London Underground; London Overground/Arriva; Greater Anglia; Haringey; and Enfield transport planning teams.

The Club is working on an updated demand forecast analysis that will also be informed by a comprehensive spectator survey. The survey will provide an indication of the degree to which spectators’ travel habits are being affected by Covid-19 and the current restrictions. Whilst the Stadium will continue to be promoted as a public transport destination, the Club strongly anticipates
that the mode share for spectators arriving by private car will be greater than the 23% target currently enshrined within the stadium Section 106 (S106) Agreement, simply because of a general nervousness across the wider public about travelling on public transport. Furthermore, car occupancy levels are also likely to be lower than the averages achieved prior to the pandemic.

At the initial capacity levels anticipated, the number of spectators’ cars in the local area may be similar to a ‘normal’ matchday. However, by bringing temporary parking provisions under the umbrella of the Stadium Local Area Management Plan (LAMP), the Club can ensure that the matchday impacts on the local area continue to be minimised, i.e. through the appropriate provision of wayfinding, stewarding, toilets etc.

The Government has confirmed an initial return of fans from 3 December onwards. Any futureincreases in capacity beyond those currently stated remain uncertain and will of course fluctuate in line with the national picture of the pandemic. Recent news around potential vaccines does provide some cause for optimism and the Club wishes to ensure that it is well-placed to respond at short
notice.

As a cleared, level site in the Club’s control; within close proximity to the stadium, but outside the Traffic Management Zone, the Goods Yard site provides an ideal site for temporary matchday parking, pending its redevelopment.

A brilliant idea to help keep public transport from being overwhelmed. I hope common sense can prevail here.

It's good to see a plan being put in place to get up to 22K safely into the stadium. Our stadium is better equipped than any other.

While I agree I thought it was a bit concerning the number I saw without a mask on properly, possibly just poor timing to get caught on camera, but the post game singing I saw on twitter at the station was pretty egregious IMHO.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to be a scrooge or killjoy but if supporters want the grounds to re-open even in a limited capacity they need to do their bit and be a bit more disciplined with it, wash your hands regularly, keep distance as much as possible and wear a face covering, it need not be complicated or difficult (despite the bloody tories best efforts to f*** it up)

Just because a vaccine is over the horizon it's still going to be bloody ages before enough are vaccinated to be the answer, meanwhile a little self-discipline will help do wonders.
Again I'm not trying to be a killjoy I'm just saying there appears to be a lot of complacency going on.

They're talking about London going to tier 3 from next week possibly. That would suck, just 1 league game and Europa game before the doors close again.
