Another quick moan. Loads of people smoking in the toilets. They are brand new and really nice yet people were smoking in them and generally treating them badly. I'm going to report the smoking to the club in the toilets I saw it taking place.

I was in the Park Lane lower and at times I kept looking round and everyone was so quiet. But I think that’s just getting used to the new surroundings, new people etc.

When there was chanting, my god it was loud!. My ears are still ringing!. So I think next week against City who will attack will be special.

One guy that went, he said the noise was deafening, he could hardly hear the bloke next to him let alone the Palace fans. He said the atmosphere was incredible for pretty much of the night. TV's often turn the crowd noise down, or you simply cannot get the intensity on TV that you would when you're there.

The atmosphere was good. Better than WHL for any Palace game I'd previously been to before. Don't let the doom mongers say anything else. The match experience is top draw. I am south lower and the rail is really good, although there is a down post in front of my seat that I will bang my knee on if sat down, but I can't imagine that happening much.

I think it will be a much better experience on a Saturday/sunday than an evening game for going to bars and getting food. Not so many people will use the facilities for a start. Its a magnificent stadium but there are some gripes. I guess it will just take getting used to.

But, mate, how are these people gonna fuck up their teeth and breath if they don't take every available opportunity (legal or otherwise) to have a drag on their beloved sticks?

Snap mate. 420. And no voice. ??

could of had an SC party 419. Ive been to last night and the test event The Legends (same place v City & Huddersfield), and to be fair have got there pretty early both times and not had trouble getting to the bar just around the corner. can only drink 1 because I drive to the stadium, so only really notice lack of space when using the little boys room at half time.

I think I'm going to go to Tottenham Hale instead. No chance I want to face an evening game in that queue for Seven Sisters again. Ive never walked to Tottenham Hale at night though, is it safe I wonder?
It’s full of drug users and knife wielding maniacs. I’d advise everyone of steering clear of this route. Stick it out at Seven Sisters, you’ll get home eventually*

*This has absolutely nothing to do with any plans I have to get home quicker via Tottenham Hale

I was there last night, it was loud when the crowd was in full roar. There were lulls, and an understandable nervousness around the ground, given our current form going into it.
I was nervous, not just because we needed the win, more so because I didn't want the first game to end in defeat.

How long was the queue at seven sisters? I left at the final whistle and knowing full well the queue at SS was going to be pretty bad I ran there rather than walk it. My wait I don't think was even 5 minutes.

I had to faff around and wait for a mate to go for a wee so didn't get to leave asap. That probably had an effect. Good to know as that used to be my approach

The whole standing situation is still a bit of a mess. I realise its a bit like Brexit and there are very entrenched views, but I did feel sorry for kids and people who just cant stand up for nearly 2 hours. I can just about manage it but my back starts to complain and it is now a role reversal in as much as I sit down at half time for a rest rather than, as in the past, stand up to stretch. The stewards tried to get everyone to sit down ,because obviously there had been some complaints, but they were pretty much ignored and after the first goal they gave up. The irony is that, where we were, behind the goal in Lower North, it was actually a better view when sat down and people belatedly realised this. I looked behind me and it looked as if the standing went on as far as I could see . Anyone else got any experience from othet parts of the ground? The problem is that, for non season ticket holders, there is little choice over which seat to choose .

We don't talk about the queue.

Thought about lower tier to get a closer to the action but knew there would be problems with those who persist with standing regardless of the feelings of others. So went upper tier, yes further from the action but you still feel close and fantastic view of whole pitch and certainly no problems where I sit . Only slight problem is the stairs for some but they will let you use the lifts.

Can't have been worse than the wait for Wembley, surely?
For me, it was far worse. Mainly because at Wembley I was in the lower West stand so could get out quickly, whereas at NWHL I'm in the upper South Stand, so took ages to get out of the stand, let alone the ground and then to Seven Sisters.

And also there's no trek to Wembley Park like there is to Seven Sisters, so that just adds to the annoyance.

No confetti

I was hoping they were going to go for some ticker tape again last night.

Shitbags, can’t they go two hours without lighting up ffs.
