Another year, another @TwanYid complaint about the kits. Let people enjoy things.

Another year, another comment from you about my reactions to the kits.

It was a joke bro. I doubt my criticism will dampen anyone's spirits; people like what they like. Oh and for about the tenth time: I've liked a lot of Spurs kits. Nike's first year with us- as alluded to above- was pretty much note-perfect IMO.

I'm guessing you're a fan of the rumored away kit for next year, then?

Enjoy it my man. Wear it with pride!

The quoted post was about the 3rd kit, which I like a lot. The home is fine and the away isn't my cup of tea at all.

But quoting every post saying "I can't believe you like it, it's so ugly", isn't a joke because jokes are funny.

I've posted these in another thread before I think but for me it doesn't get much better than this. Home being white shirt and socks, away navy shirt and white/navy shorts. Both pretty clean. Plus even the purple third was really nice, we just didn't wear it much. Nike's first season's set of kits probably my favourite.

I couldn't possibly agree more. The purple kit above is one of my all-time favorite Spurs kits. Fucking LOVE that shirt. That, indeed, was a perfect start by Nike; unfortunately it's been downhill ever since.

I like the 3rd kit, too. The quoted post was about a different, darker-colored version of the third kit that I think is ugly.

And by "joke" I meant just messing around. Get a life.

Yeah I'm not sure why, it's annoying as I really like that combination. It's the same with our yellow kits also, recent ones have all been yellow shirts, shorts and socks but I quite like it when we have white/navy shorts with the yellow shirt. Looking back at our kit history the last time was in the 04-05 season. The kits seem to very often be primarily the one colour over recent years but I do like contrasting shorts.
Yeah i've never liked all yellow either. Even the Sky blue kits looked better with white shorts and navy trim.

Yeah the purple one is so nice, think we only wore it away to Juventus and Real Madrid in Europe but I wish it was worn a lot more. And I know, since then it's been a mixture of feeling very experimental and just not hitting the mark with Nike. The first season is where they mostly tried to stick to tradition and as a result they've ended up being the nicest all in all I think,

Definitely. Adidas had a nice combination with sky blue and white shorts/socks and we've had a few sky blue with navy shorts kits also which have been alright too.

That third kit is beautiful. Even better with the proper Nike font.

Mines my pj top. I'm sat wearing it now ?
It’s nice and I have it, but it’s 3rd on my Purple kit list. The first 2 I hear you ask - Purple Under Armour at 2 and the Purple Pony kit at 1.

I have all 3, love us in purple - plus it’s about the only colour the Gooners haven’t had a kit in either (that I know of, please don’t prove me wrong)

Dude I'll give you that you're right re: the "Ajax"-kit; yes, that grew on me.

But we could win the Champions league in the away kit and I will still maintain that that is one of the worst Spurs shirts I have ever seen. It's almost a joke- I mean as has been said 1,000X prior it looks like a fucking wetsuit. It is ugly beyond description.

The "Ajax"- even when I hated it (and again I am fully admitting that you are indeed correct and that it actually has grown on me) had "something" about it; like, it was a noble effort that failed but was still kind of cool. Next season's away shirt literally looks like something my 5-year-old daughter would make with colorforms. It's absolute dogshit.

Look- I hated the "space"-away kit of this year but even grumpy old me will admit that it was original and did (again) have "something" about it. Not for me, but I could see the appeal. The scuba suit kit is almost literally a joke. it's as if someone had 5 seconds to design an away kit and just pressed random buttons on a template program and that's what came out of it. No style, no panache, no originality, no nothing. In fact the only group that'll like it will be sharks, as the green collar will help guide them toward their prey as the unsuspecting Spurs surfer boy paddles out during a swell.
It just cover all options for the fans.
Personally, I really like the space kit but honestly don't see the appeal of the purple/piss coloured one but that being said, I know plenty of people that love that kit.

I like the idea of the simple home kit and a couple of 'wacky' options. It just means that there's something for everyone.

I can't afford to buy them anymore anyway, so to be honest, it doesn't matter a jot to me. ?

I don't think we've worn the next seasons shirts the final game for some years now. It makes sense since you would expect to at least get a full season out of them. I miss the days they renewed every couple of years.

It is something the club have bizarrely done for a while - not release the new kits until after the summer holiday market has passed. They'd sell a lot more if they wore it in the last game of the season and then made it available for sale immediately. All the 18-30 holidays where groups of lads wear football shirts.

Yep last time was the early release of the 15-16 'sash'shirt under Poch, it was released for our final home game of the 14-15 season against Hull.
