The home version of the new Hummel retro kits looks to have embroidered badges.

I notice the mid-90s retro shirts available on the OS have also been changed, with Score Draw labels inside the collars and all references to Umbro removed

Regarding this season shirt, I got the Vapor version and it feels tighter than last year's (also Vapor)

So keep in mind that if you had trouble taking the shirt off last year, you might wanna go a size up for this one.

Yeah it may be for the change strips, I thought it was some sort of club obligation, as it wouldn't be good to charge x amount for a kit that's never worn.

Yes, this is correct. I’m not exactly sure if it’s kit supplier-driven or by the club itself, but either way both entities are more likely to sell more shirts if the team actually wear the full spread. Given we end up wearing white most of the time anywhere, you can more vividly see the notion of this as we often end up wearing away kits in some scenarios where the color choice certainly wasn’t the most practical.

Was just in Sports Direct at Lakeside. They sell all 3 kits which is unusual.
Have to say, on the model, the away kit looks far better than in pictures.

I just wish the spilled-paint design on the sleeves wasn't turquoise. If the kit were just the way it is but instead of turquoise they used white it would actually look ok. I just feel like our home and away looks should be our colors: blue and white, end of. We aren't a turquoise club. On the 3rd kit go crazy- turquoise it up if that's what makes you happy- but home and away should be "us"- if you feel me. Last season's kit was fantastic- home was excellent (I'll always hate the red AIA on our shirts but I get that that is a sponsor- rather than a design- issue), away was beautiful- hell, even 3rd was pretty cool. This season I feel like they rammed-home a color that isn't Tottenham.

Hell even yellow in place of turquoise on the shoulders/socks would've been preferable...

Bit peeved my 3rd shirt has an iron on cockrel. At £65 I expect better.
Like the design but it does feel cheap and nasty to be honest.
Dont think it'll last long.

Just as a heads up for anyone thinking of buying shirts/other gear, the Nike website currently has a 20% discount code (BACK2IT) when you order 3 full price items. They have a few training bits not available on the club website too

Errea have always made some great kits. Superb quality. My local non league side (Chelmsford City) have been with them for years and years.

Unfortunately just don't have the beans to compete with the big boys.

Ive always wondered how the manufacturers make their money. So Nike pays Spurs to make their kits but then how do Nike make their money? Do Spurs get any money from sales or merely solely from just Nike paying them?

We’ve had a few black away shirts but they’re always paired with a bit of yellow etc
Our black and gold shirt was brilliant. One of my favs.

Depends on the structure of the deal. Take Man Utd’s deal with Adidas when they struck the deal it was a reported world record £75m a year they paid to Utd. But the difference here is that Adidas receive 100% of the kit sales revenues globally. So some clubs get a % of kit sales and a lesser yearly guarantee. Adidas with Utd gambled that their global appeal was worth a huge up front deal as this would pay off by getting all kit sale revenues across the globe. Where clubs make a bit more is on the retail margin if you buy it Direct from a club shop, in the same way Sports Direct make a margin. Which is why fans should try to buy from the club if they want more of their money to support the team.

On the Man United model, if true, it doesn't matter where you buy the shirt.
On ours, which itself isn't insignificant, I would imagine Spurs take a tiny percentage from each shirt.
I really doubt that if every fan bought their shirt from the club, the actual income would equate to a sum more than the cost of keeping the shop running each season.

Spurs shop makes money from the Spurs stuff, not the Nike stuff IMO. And if Spurs want to charge £65/£90 for a nylon t-shirt then I will skip it and buy it cheaper elsewhere.
It's not actually £65 most of the time either - they'll add £5 for the delivery (there are some weeks with free delivery on +£50 orders, I'm aware)
So you're then looking at £70 for something I can get for £55 round the corner.
