In this day and age and what has incredibly happened in the last few days, i personally think it would be great for us fans to adopt an new anthem for us spurs fans to unite and sing , much in same way that liverpool and celitc both adopted "you'll never walk alone" as anthems. When we are finally let back in the stadium we should Adopt " Bridge over troubled water" by Simon and Garfunkel as a singalong for all fans in the stadium . For anyone under a certain age please go and listen to the lyrics as you will understand how apt these lyirics are at this most trying of times. As for the singing in tune that might be an issue..........

I like the idea but I would rather something upbeat. I'll put forward... 5ive - slamdunk (da funk). Those of a certain age google the lyrics, they're very relevant right now.

Top of the agenda should be the removal of sandstorm everytime we score o_O

I’m really hoping that’s just a covid thing and will cease when fans get back. Music after scoring has always been one of my pet hates in football grounds.

As long as we don’t sing America. Not sure that would go down too well in the current football climate ;).

I think we should just singalong to the duel of the fates star wars intro music that's played as the players walk on the pitch in full on proper sinister, operatic, high pitched voices every 5 minutes.

Pretty sure the club tried to do this at the first game of the new stadium. They played "Can't Smile Without You" before the game started and it fell flat on its arse.

To be totally honest, anything will just sound like a cheap copy of what Liverpool / Celtic do.

Eamon - Fuck it. As a protest song to Levy.

I think the OP is overestimating the average fan's ability to remember many words, especially long ones, and anything other than a 4:4 time signature will be fatal for some.

With that in mind, I propose "Tra La La", otherwise known as the Theme from the Banana Splits.

Or the chorus from Buffalo Soldier, depending on how high you are at the time and if you play it at 33 instead of 44.

It is one of football's unwritten rules that song discussion threads never stay on subject for more that 3 posts.

However, I think you song choice for an anthemic tune is a fantastic choice. To have the white wall singing this (or something as good) would be stellar!

.......but good luck with the rest of your thread :)
