Yeah I get that it's Cliche to compare to Alli, but i'd save the judgement until we've seen him in a Spurs shirt, in a completely different environment, under Pochetinno.
I fully expect in time for Poch to turn him into a damn good player. We may have one chance for the league and that's now. To get any able back up to Kane now is surely a must?

Wouldn't be upset if we missed out. I've seen him play, lacks efficient and productive movement, not too good at reading the game and not really technically gifted, there's better options out there who have more potential.

Not to mention work rate. If people could see him live they would have similar opinion

I've said it quite a few times in this thread but some people don't seem to get it. The game has move on - unless you play a formation that requires 2 strikers then you can only require one top quality uber striker in the squad and the backups should come from either young developing strikers or versatile players who can cover. It's the only way to maintain squad harmony and give all your attacking players enough games to ensure suitable motivation throughout the season.

August 2015 - Pochettino " I want a quality striker to cover for Harry Kane and Saido Berahino is the one for me".

January 2016 - Pochettino " I want a young, cheap, malleable striker who I can transform into whatever I want".
Levy " What's change Mauricio?"
Pochettino " I've been following JUSTINSIGNAL on Spurs Community. He's a genius".

It's been touched upon, here, in articles and essays.

He's the alchemist.

Surprised nobody seems to have picked up on this post? The headline isn't the best reading, that's for sure

Exclusive: Tottenham – Fulham negotiations are at breaking point for Moussa Dembélé...

I think this is older than the Guardian story that his signing is imminent tonight

Yet, despite these deficiencies in his game, in a poor team, he has 11 goals.

He seems to find goal scoring positions well and be a decent/good finisher, good frame, reasonable agility. Poch the alchemist can handle the rest! (not even seen him live, don't need to if Poch is in...)

MCcormack has 17 goals for them too. Does that make him good enough for us?

So a bit like Lamela before Poch arrived then?

Oduwa couldn't get a game in the Scottish Championship. No chance he'd get one in the English Championship
It isn't as simple as that. Kane is hated by Leicester fans due to a below average loan there in the Championship. He has since lit up the PL.

You are looking at it as if he is the finished article, and he is as good as he is ever going to get. Just remember our assessment of players doesn't consist of watching him play one game, and a few you tube clips.

I don't think we are even in for this guy. He's not good enough to cone in and do a job this season, can't play various positions, we may have well gone for Austin if we just want a CF, and Poch wants someone like Berahino as he can play either side of Kane and has pace and plays off the line. All so different to Dembele. Just can't see it
Give it up ffs.

Shocked to hear you say this. You're normally so positive.

It seems like roughly ten years ago, McCormack had a loan spell with Doncaster scoring 5 goals in 19 appearances in league one.

So 29 year old at his peak or look at prospects?

Not sure why comparing the two weighs for or against Dembele?
