We can't compete for players like Vidal until we get the new stadium. We can't afford players in that wage bracket.

The fact that as many as four teams are in for him ones that probably are all in champions league means its very unlikely we will sign MS imo.
Of course i could be wrong but in all honesty why would he turn down the chance of playing at a higher level and much better money, unless they all decide to go elsewhere in which case we might be lucky.

Agree. And the time to get him was early last summer, before Southampton had sold half their team to Liverpool and Chambers to Arsenal.
Had we bid 20 million for him then we could well of got him. And maybe it would of been Lallana they ended up digging their heals over, or someone else.
