The big Jon Obika Derby

Their manager, Steve Robinson, apparently made two appearances for us in the 1993-94 season too.

What with everything else that was going on that year - Venables sacked, Ardiles appointed, loads of goals at either end, seven defeats to kick off the New Year and only confirming safety in the final week - it's hardly surprising I missed him. Indeed, he's so obscure he didn't even make the Obscure Spurs thread.

Anyway, welcome back Steve. I hope you enjoy your trip back home (though not too much, mind)

My 6 year old nephew has been begging me to take him to a game and I told him I only will this season if we draw a lower league team in the cup… no excuses now! Unless it’s an evening game anyway.

Chance to dele Ali and Ndombele for this one

I hope not! zero chance either would put in any type of effort for a game like this! They will think themselves too far above a game like this! Judging by there usual shameful performances against the minnows in the Europa and conference league there usual thought process is them stepping on the pitch will be enough to win the game!

Good draw this, chance for a few of the first team to be rested and it gives a smaller team a chance to play at our stadium.

After some our performaces against lower rated teams need to treat them with some respect with team selection.
FA cup allocation for away teams is 15% , so at The Lane that is 9,000, can Morecambe sell that many tickets and will the whole stadium be open.

From a Morecambe forum:

Some recent new build stadiums are nothing more than the usual big bowl. Spurs however have created a work of art. It will be an honour just to be there. We won't expect anything from the game and probably won't get anything but it will be superb just being there for the weekend with no real pressure.

They only average 3.5k at home, even for a big game I doubt there's 9k willing to make the trek to London

Agree very doubtful, more likely sell 3000 or so and fill the usual away corner.
Looking at the thousands of tickets still remaining for the West Ham game doubt the top tier will be opened for this FA cup game.

Wouldn't be so sure... Christmas is coming and this game makes great presents for kids who can't usually go.

this is the thing morecambe may only have a following of 3k or what have you, but imagine there's a few yids/ rival supporters up there who would like a ticket just for the occasion/stadium.

Just wondering, why aren't you jumping at the possibility of taking your nephew to a Spurs match?
