If Bale is capable of playing on the right, we could be like Bayern Munich and play 2 wrong-footed wingers that are capable of scoring goals. Lennon has improved at it, but not as good at it as Bastos. Of course, this is just a shot in the dark idea by me.

Michel Bastos is very much left footed.

If we had both him and Bale they could probably learn to play together, as long as they covered for each other as neither are defensive minded. He's less of a left back than Bale, which is why I don't want us to sign him, he would just force Bale to play LB, which I don't think is his position yet whilst he's destroying teams from left mid.

A very, very good left winger is Bastos, none the less.

Edit - Sorry, unless you meant for Bastos to play on the right? I got the impression you meant for Bale to play on the right and Bastos on the left, either way, they're both left footed. Bastos can play on the right and cut in, but he tends to become more selfish and take silly shots on from the right.

TBH, I think it's worth a punt if one of them can play on the right. As Bale has been world-class at the left side, I'd rather experiment Bastros on the right...

If we're going to be stuck with so-so strikers, we need goal-scoring wingers to complement VdV.
