Those best suited to answer this would be anyone who has kept track of him on loan, if he was playing (well or struggling) etc. Wouldn't be against it or surprised however. I have never witnessed a Spurs side so overwhelmingly lacking fight, passion and even showing any signs that they care.

Pretty sure he wasn't playing much at Posh and was actually playing in their development squad.

Better for him to be playing in our development squad

You've probably already heard of this in the yutes thread, but I feel it may be worth further discussion.

Trivial recall, or indication of mass shakeup as indicated here?

If so, interesting we chose McEvoy and not Pritchard (yet). What do you think, will we see further recalls?
He got recalled due to lack of playing time. Could only make the bench for even their fa cup game. Had like 8 appearances with 3 starts.

I suspect this is just a normal recall where we will send him straight out to someone else.

I'd be inclined to draft the likes of McEvoy into the first team squad along with a bunch more of the development squad. Given that Mason, Kane and Townsend have been the only outfield players to show any passion or willing recently, I think a bunch of hungry kids pushing for inclusion would be a good wake-up call to some of our under-performing 'stars'. We might even find one or two of them ready to take a step up.

McEvoy is nowhere near ready for Premier League football

Agreed - although the same could be said of Fazio, Chiriches, Paulinho and a whole host of our other first team players.

We had Winks and Pritchard make the bench last season, I reckon more youth in the first team squad could be a positive thing in the current situation. Even if they weren't going to play it could inject a bit of hunger into the players who do get picked.

Not been doing great there, Posh fans not impressed. Think he'll struggle to make it here.

It's a nice idea but I fear that's all it is at the moment. Adding more youth to a team who have no confidence and who look disjointed will surely result in more of the same? If anything we need to bring in some older players with experience as soon as possible. Poch can evaluate the development squad over the summer if he needs to. Having said that, maybe just a merge of the youth and senior training sessions would do the trick?
