For me that's true if your ex is going out with some random bloke.

If she's going out with someone you know is an absolute **** then the feeling's slightly different.
If i left my ex and when she wanted me back i didn't because I had a new GF then sorry but i'm good and if i'm not that's on me not her

Did people expect him to wait around forever, even when we had no intention on calling him? I hate Chelsea but it doesn't seem particularly healthy to be so venomous towards him specifically. It's fine if people want to be like this but you can't then expect loyalty from, say, Kane, given that we've shown loyalty is conditional and once you stop working for us we'll consider you scum.

I dunno, it might be because everything else is so bleak but I find the attacks on the guy who gave me the best year of my Spurs life just a bit depressing.
If you hate Chelsea then that includes everyone there

Personally I'm sure he is a nice enough bloke but I dont know him personally, I know him as a football manager and he now is the head of one of our most hated rivals so he is vermin to me just like arteta.

He made his choice and knew the consequences so to me at least I'm gonna treat him like every other manager who represents them or arsenal.

A good reminder of why I support the badge for life over any individual who wears it

I think tribal rivalry is fine and to be expected. It's part of what makes football, football. Pochettino would be surprised if he didn't get any stick from the fans for making such a controversial move. It's not as if the rivalry with Chelsea dissolves just because our club owners decided to sack him and not reappoint him.

That being said, it's not as if we can take any moral high ground. We literally replaced him with Chelsea living legend Jose Mourinho and most fans happily celebrated that.
Regarding Mourinho and others I think we're right to do so.

We should support those who wear our badge. Once they leave it's on them If they want have a relationship with the fanbase. If I were a chavs supporter I'd want nothing to do with a bloke who went to our most hated rivals, but that's an individual supporters choice to make

It’s not a problem how you feel about your ex being with someone new, it’s constantly talking about them still that makes it weird.

The club didn't want him and he wasn't going to wait around forever. I hold no ill will, just hope we do the double over them and finish above them. Is it weird? Sure. But don't hate him for it. It's a high profile job at the end of the day.

I still love him. I think it’s fine to love Poch and also want Chelsea to lose every single game they play, meaning he gets sacked and out of there asap. And in 3 years people will be like ‘oh yeah I forgot Poch was at Chelsea’. Hopefully he’ll be like our Nuno.

If he’s successful there, then my feelings towards him will depend on stuff like what he says about us in prezzers and how he conducts himself when Chelsea play us etc.

Other players have left us in much worse circumstances (Bale, Berbatov, Keane etc) and have since been very welcomed back like nothing happened. Itk’s have said Poch actively wanted to come back but we didn’t want him. He loves London so there’s that, and it’s not Arsenal, so there’s that too.

Unless his personality changes and he starts slating us, I’ll always ‘love’ him. I still want him to fail miserably at Chelsea (and I think he will) and I want Chelsea fans to end up hating him. For me personally, Arsenal would’ve been unforgivable but Chelsea are just money. Finishing 2nd in the league and runners up in all cup competitions would be seen as complete failure for Chelsea considering they’ve spent billions and billions. They’re like City, I just don’t really count them. If we finish 3rd behind City and Chelsea, then we’ve won the league in my eyes and I’ll be partying like it’s 1999 (which is just as well because it would be 16 years before I had my liver transplant and can party properly… woohoo!).

He’s a good guy and I think he wanted to come back here. When you are in the elite managerial job market your options are very very limited.

Arsenal is off limits but so many ex Chelsea managers have come here in recent years that this sort of thing was bound to happen eventually. Do I want him to succeed there? No. Do I want him to crash and burn and suffer a total humiliation? Also no. It’s a basket case club so the best case scenario imo is a short term spell with no trophies and finishing behind us.

i honestly look at it like seeing an Ex doing well, if I have a problem with it then something is wrong with my life.
That very much depends on the ex.

My ex fell over her own dog gate yesterday and ended up in hospital.
On the outside, I sent her a nice message wishing her well.
On the inside I was pissing myself laughing at the stupid cow.

Now, I don't wish ill upon her, quite the opposite in fact but if shit does go sideways for her, I'll admit to basking in the warm glow of "fuck you, you ruined my life".

Yeah, I have issues! 🤣

Under the current cowboy owner I don't think many a manager will last long there.

Even during the peak Abramovich years, nearly every manager lasted a maximum of two seasons. Many, like Grant, Scolari, Villas-Boas, Di Matteo, Benitez and Lampard were in charge for less than a year. I think only Mourinho ever managed more than two seasons.

If Pochettino is there come the end of next season he will be one of their longest-serving managers of the last twenty or even thirty years.

(not that our record with managers is much better!)

It’s not that I want him to crash and burn. I want Chelsea to crash and burn. He’s just collateral damage by association.

Indifferent about him, especially since we hired somebody I like and think will be good. It would get more reaction from me if we did another Nuno-type hire. Don't think that anyone will last long there and I am happy with it.
