2 games is all it takes for a player's fortunes to turn here. See the Sanchez thread.
Ndombele was on the end of some pretty fierce remarks/abuse on here. I don't see why the comments should be so hateful, but some people thrive on that. It's a shame.

I think we were all excited because he looked immense whenever we played them. Our defence seemingly has once again found a new way to conspire against us and is likely the culprit for why we signed him

even if it has nothing to do with covid he wouldnt be the first player to struggle in his first season at the club and come good later.

I felt a bit sorry for him last night. Spent all the first half running up and down the line with the camera man on his shoulders !

He might not work out but just because he’s come from another Prem side doesn’t mean he doesn’t need any time to settle in.

He’s also played RWB for the last 5-6 seasons and he’s now being asked to play RB so again it takes time to adapt to that as it is a different position.

He was one of the best Right sided defenders in the league for a few seasons so mabye we need to give him time just like other signings have needed time?

That having said he doesn’t have much pace and his delivery has been poor so it could be that he’s just actually not that good, we will see.

Doherty’s link ups with Bale have generally been pretty good, today no exception. Nice to see.
