I was wondering if people think he has a future with us? Has looked competent so far in pre season.

Been very impressed so far, need to see him in the DLP role against better opposition tho to see if he can fully cope positionally and defensively because he certainly has no problems on the ball

Yes could he be like Bentaleb was last season? He has certainly got alot of game time so far, more than carroll.

certainly doesn't look out of place and must have impressed MP somewhat to even make the tour.

As has been noted he's playing the DLP role, be very interesting to see if he can adapt to that because I'm pretty sure it's not where he played most of his youth football for Spurs.

Was very impressed in the first half. Not as good now in the second. Similarly, he was pretty solid vs Toronto, but didn't have the best of games vs Seattle. Not really sure. Still think Bentaleb is clearly the best midfield prospect we have.

If he can stay healthy, i don't see a reason why he can't be around the first team this season. Good passing ability and has a very good ability to turn away from pressure.

Better than Tom Carroll, who seems to be vastly overrated for no real reason.

I saw him play on loan a few years back. Then he was smaller than most around him but his class was there for all to see. Then he got injured and I heard little of him for about a year. I hope he can stay injury free and have a great season. In Posh we have and manager who we all hope will bring some of our younger players thru and I hope Mason is one.

Someone else summed it up best when they said Mason was exactly what we all wanted Carroll to be.

Hope we keep one of him or Carroll around this season - based only on preseason Mason has looked better, but he is two years older so unless Poch really thinks he's got something special my guess is he'll be off if a good offer comes in.

Not that it really matters as it's still quite old for a youth player but he has just turned 23, he'll be 24 in June next year.

Really hope he plays a lot in the cup and makes the bench once in a while in the league, he could really help with the amount of domestic players, and obviously we have a player here, with great versatility. Knock on wood hopefully he can stay healthy

Poch has trusted younsgetrs in past in CM role - Ward Prowse, Davies, Cork etc...

If we don't sign Schneiderlin, I guess both Mason & Bentaleb would be crucial to our season.

Such a shame we sold M Poku for 500k to Standard Leige 2 seasons back. Last season he scored 12 goals for them and now he is set for a 5m move to Napoli.

One that got away.

He is better than Mason & Bentaleb IMO technically.

He has the exact same body as Lallana, but a very different game.

He seems very composed and had the eye for the pass. More so than bentaleb personally.

Don't know if he is ready, but he certainly has shown he is capable
