Can someone explain me how we have missed this bargain ? 16 mil for Gomez.....what a miss !!!

Well, wages €4-5m (pending on source) a net is hardly a bargain on that side. Dunno about UK taxation and other possible red tape costs, but wouldn't that be close or over €8-10m a year?

As I have said, there is a reason Bayern didn't play him this season and won't in the future, doesn't make him a poor player, but he is not the type of player we are looking for. On top, Germans love Italy, so there was always a good chance he might simply prefer to move there anyway, Klose didn't mind it for starters.
