Did we hear if someone was appointed? I hope we have all our ducks lined up and move quickly after the Norwich game.
Getting as much of a pre~season for any new player will be really important (CL or not~ unless we really feck up then I can't see Conte bailing)
Win or draw on Sunday will make things easier to get ib who we want, we don't need lists of 10+ players~ just get the ones the manager wants

I read that it will cost about 100m to make Rom, B and K perm.
Need another 60m plus to fix keeper and two WBs
Hope we can find the money and players
So much depends on Super Skipp and how much we get for GLC and TN
We also need another striker in if we are serious about top 4 and a trophy

Isn't Bentancur already here on a perm?

One of them is already permanent, one is an obligation spread over 5 years and Kulu is the same if take up the option at the end of his loan, but costs less if we pay up front this Summer.

This man deserves a lot of credit.
Was up thinking last night and kind of was doing a little review in my head of the year so far, and what a CRAZY ride for him. Some were revolting at times saying how big of a bust he is. I said I would wait until the season starts to wrap up to make my overall judgements. Let's look at incomings over the course of the year:

Gil - 21 years old, many would say a flop, but one of the highest ceilings and I believe any club would have loved to do that deal. Knocked a point because he was expected to slot right in when I think the plan should have been to let him play one more season in Spain, then play in England next season - 7/10
Sarr - 19 years old, up and down season, but again on many lists of biggest futures/wonderkid lists and I'd do this deal anytime as I love that the club looks to the future - 8/10
Romero - Signing of the season in PL for many - 10/10
Royal - Odd season, not great at all, but the last few matches has been his best. Always puts in a shift and while he's probably not the future, appreciate he works hard despite being a more natural RB - 5/10
Gollini - Cover/future option for Hugo that hasn't worked out. Not too fussed - 5/10
Bentancur - Instantly has come in and covered for a big loss of Skipp and looked like he's played in the PL for a few seasons - 8/10
Kulusevski - Has been a big impact to add to Kane and Sonny, 8 assists for half the season. Hope he continues to improve! - 9/10

Overall - 7.4/10 which I never would have guessed before the January window.

Very excited for this Summer regardless of CL, but hopefully we can add that in the mix on Sunday COYS

I thought the option becomes an obligation if we make CL. Was that wrong?

Not 100% but from what I recall there were no obligations at all for this Summer. Remember this is probably 3rd/4th hand on this one so don't take my word for it, but I'd be surprised if there was and obligation plus a clause to get him cheaper(if we commit early) attached for the same window. Wouldn't really make sense.

You left out IMHO the 2 most important signings in Nuno and Conte.

I think the outgoings were as important as the incomings

Making space in the squad and removing the bad smell of half committed players has enabled greater squad focus and positivity

Getting Gio, Dele and NDombele in the shop window - potentially bringing in more transfer funds and freeing up wages - will have longer term benefits too

It's refreshing to have a DoF now willing and able to take a little hit to trim the squad

Absolutely enormous credit to this guy. Got a lot of absolutely unfair pelters from our fans and others and look at the impact his two signings had today and all season to secure top 4.

Buzzing to see what he does in the summer. We move!

he's done great
Just imagine what would have happened if we got Conte in last summer - scary
This is going to be one hell of an important summer for us- with CL we're really gonna have some fun
