I don’t think that’s the reason personally.
look at Arsenal, who by most metrics are the best at attacking set pieces this season. They’ve done that with a combination of Jesus, Nketiah and havertz as their striker.
you don’t need a big target man to be good at corners.
but you do need a clear set of options, and then execute those plans well.

I have to be be honest, it’s the one thing that worries me about the NLD

But they have White as full back and Rice in defensive midfield so they have more aerial threats at set pieces

I’d like him to be more vocal on the touch line , I can’t get my head around a manger that says nothing during a game , surely there are moments when you have to give guidance to the players however well drilled they are.

Most do it for the cameras but I do find it out he is totally silent

Set pieces are another reason I think we need a big centre forward. We don't have much threat from set pieces without Richarlison. Conte got a lot wrong but one thing he did well with was set pieces thanks to the set piece specialist. Improve that area by conceding less and scoring a few more then the points swing will be pretty good.

Did say at the start of the season losing Kane was more than just his goals. Was decent at defending corners as well. Plenty of times he won the first header to clear.

Richarlison is pretty good as well , it would be interesting to see how many conceded set piece goals came with and without him

That's another fine quote and that's an impressive graph? Web-map? Interesting to see counters improved as that was Plan A under Conte. And I wonder how physicality is measured? Yellow cards awarded to centre backs, perhaps? But we certainly need to get more physical at corners, that's for sure.

He did in the start of the season. Or maybe my brain is making that up? I definitely remember him very frustrated on the sidelines in many situations.

But yet again - a second half turnaround with inspired subs in a game to win a game we were struggling in.

I'd argue that plan B seems to be better than plan A

He has done a great job. On course for a CL position and getting 70+ points in his first season. He's had to deal with....
- Losing a world class striker and our best player ahead of the season
- Was left woefully short at CB for half the season and had to deal with both CB's being out at the same time.
- Bought in a number of first team players, a number from abroad who needed to adjust and bed in

Clear from when he speaks that we not near where he wants us and will be looking to push on next season. This will be quite a crucial summer. He has had a whole season to look at the players and think he'll be quite specific when it comes to the type of profiles of players he wants whether they are starters or seen as ones that will thicken the squad/provide cover.

Get the impression he is not one to want to try and and fit square pegs into round holes and you either fit the type of profile for a position in his team or you don't. HIs hand was forced this season as the overhaul were never going to happen in his first transfer window or two and think he has done a good job of keeping players he knew he'd need to rely on this year onside.

However he'll be looking to move away from that as much as possible next season imo so expecting him to be quite ruthless when it comes to exits this summer. Right off the bat, I think the likes of Hojbjerg, Davies, Royal, Gil days are numbered. I doubt Skipp will be happy not getting a look in although suspect we'd be fine keeping him in the squad as a younger, HG/club trained option.

Would not be surprised to see us move on Solomon and bring in Werner on a perm. Think Lo Celso's contract situation see's him leave. Sessegnon also in the last year of his contract but with his injury record who is going to take a chance. Think despite him doing well recently, they'll be a question mark over Richarlison as can't help but feel if the right offer comes in and we feel we can get a striker in, we may do something there.

He’s made timely and correct and proactive and effective substitutions more times this season than Conte, Jose and Nuno did in their combined tenures.
